Summary: Today on The Kim Brown Show: Is JP Morgan Chase arbitrarily closing bank accounts of Muslim and Arab Americans on the basis of religion?  That's what the Michigan chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations wants the Treasury Department to find out.  They filed a federal complaint, alleging JP Morgan Chase offered curt notice to dozens of Muslims and Muslim-owned businesses before telling those customers to withdraw their funds from those accounts.  Dawud Walid is the Executive Director of CAIR in Michigan and he breaks down what is happening to his constituents. In a move that his severely compromised his cool points, Obama's adminstration announced yesterday that we will be offering military support to the Syrian rebels, though the White House has not articulated what form that support will take.  Listen, I get the deplorable humanitarian crisis that's happening in Syria, with over 90,000 people dead.  However, look at our track record in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya.  When we engage in regime change, we have a tendency to leave the situation worse than how we found it.  Moreover, we don't know who the rebels are and whether or not they will later turn those arms on US. Lastly, Obama has been taking heat over the NSA surveillance program and rightfully so.  What is he doing with our emails and phone calls?  Better question, why has he followed in the footsteps of his predecessor and moving the goalposts on the government's legal limits to spy on its citizens?  Rachel Levinson-Waldman is the DC counsel for Liberty and National Security at the Brennan Center.  She breaks it DOWN.
