T4B Podcast 002: The Thermomix Curry Episode

The 4 Blades Podcast show

Summary: In this episode of The 4 Blades podcast, we had just been to the local farmers markets and picked up some silverbeet and some grassfed boneless lamb leg, which we diced. With these ingredients, we were able to recreate Bec’s all time favourite Indian curry dish - Lamb Saag. There is an awesome recipe on the Australian Thermomix Recipe Community here. A few key notes on the preparation of this: Adjust how many chillies, or style of chilli, to your tastebuds. If you use much of the white bulk of the silverbeet, you may have to do a lot more pureeing so that it’s not stringy at the end. So, now that we had our curry hot and ready to go... what is it going to go with? ‘Mock Rice’ (AKA cauliflower), is easily prepared in the Thermomix. We absolutely love this blog post, which explains how to make it. We then shared our love of superkitchenmachine.com - the blog for all things Thermomix / Bimby. Helene, who runs this site, is such a great creator and curator of the best Thermomix content. She also sells the ‘hands down’ BEST Thermomix accessories. We couldn’t be without our super spatula, or cleaning kit. Take a look at what she has on offer! While Bec goes gluten-free, Joe LOVES naan. The best recipe we have found for naan bread in the Thermomix, is Tenina’s. Check out her YouTube video here - we found it really comprehensive! In other news - we are now prepped for social media! Join us on Facebook, Twitter & YouTube. Also - keep an eye out in the next couple of days for Bec’s ‘Baked Eggs’ for breakfast. Thanks for joining us - see you next week!
