Summary: PCM/ Pulse Code Modulation is a one sided project created in 1993 in Marseille, France. After various compilation appearances during 90′s on label such as Disturbance, Fairway…PCM moved to Paris and release first full lenght in 2001 on french label Megaphone. Mostly influenced by Detroit chords & strings, industrial band Coil, Sheffield scene Warp/Autechre and Berlin Basic Channel/ Hardwax crew, the CD was highly acclaimed by french press and was considered as a french answer to UR and Basic Channel sounds. In 2002 PCM launched his own label Pong Music and released his 1st 12inch « Discodrome » (an influenced Italo Disco joke). During the same year and after several years working in music industry as A.D, PCM felt it was time to make a break from music, tired from so much boring clubbing music. In 2007 and after a come-back in Marseille, PCM was back and set up a new digital and analog studio. In august 2009, more than 13 tracks was mastered in Berlin at legendary Dubplates & Mastering…and in 2011 Pong Music released a brand new 10inch « Himmel Strasse », followed in 2012 by Sonne und Stahl, Hakuro and Hagakure in 2003 supported by Deepchord/echospace, Gez Varley, Mark Broom, Paul Nazca, Dj Deep, Los Hermanos, Kriss Kortz, Fabrice Lig, Renaat (R&S), Sean Deason, Jean-Marie K, Jee, Alex Katapult, Jack de Marseille, Alex Einz, Dave Miller, David Moufang, Quantec, Dj Oil, Deep in Dub...
