Make The Most Of Every Moment In Life

Successful Life Mindset show

Summary: Podcast Note: Podcast name has changed to The Successful Life Mindset. Make the Most of Every Moment in Life How we feel effects our performance, even when living our desires.  Cliff was feeling overwhelmed today and said his first two podcasts of the day reflected that feeling.  He barely made it through the first one and the second he will title “Bad Episode”.  Tracy agreed to carry the load today on this podcast. Tracy travels a lot and today he is broadcasting from Indianapolis where he is attending an electronics trade show.  Not film related, but a display of new home/business electronics – home security products, home networking, etc. Those listening may note Tracy is a bit congested after demonstrating his water skiing skills at a family outing in Wisconsin, where he managed to fall face first into the water. Podcasting Course For Free Cliff talked about his podcasting training courses (Podcasting A to Z) for those that want to learn how to podcast.  The class is free.  He has learned that if he gives the training for free, people learn how knowledgeable he is and feel confident in purchasing his products and services.  It is a win/win situation.  Tracy mentioned the book “Free: How Today's Smartest Businesses Profit by Giving Something for Nothing” by Chris Anderson that talks about that exact concept.  When quality products and services are given away free, people get hooked and will purchase according to their needs later.  Cliff noted that Mr. Anderson even gave his book away free.  Tracy’s company, Trost Moving Pictures, has a similar opportunity for his products.  He has a program titled TMP Ambassadors that allows people to sign up for viewing/reading his products free with the stipulation that they give an honest review of the product when they are seen/read.  To learn more, visit the Trost Moving Pictures website. To date, Tracy has released three films (Find Me, A Christmas Snow and The Lamp).  His fourth will be a Romantic Comedy, adapted from a Jim Stovall novel, “Then and Now”.  Filming is scheduled for 2012 or 2013.  In romantic comedies, there is nearly always a happy ending.  Two of Cliff’s favorites are: “The Wedding Planner” and “You’ve Got Mail”.  Tracy said a movie he didn’t like was “Hannah”.  The first three-quarters of the movie was great, but in the end the good guy dies and even though the bad guy eventually dies too, the upbeat ending was not there.  You should leave with a happy feeling when you leave a romantic comedy. The Opportunity To Become Something Tracy likes the message presented in the movie “Evan Almighty”.  The lesson is a woman is married to a man that tears the family apart by his seemingly crazy actions.  She is in a restaurant when a waiter, “Al Mighty” (Morgan Freeman portraying God) speaks to her when she didn’t know what to do.  He tells her that God does not give things, but only the opportunity by which to obtain things, citing togetherness of families as one of these things.  She goes back home and she and her husband finish his project together.  Given the message of the movie, when we pray for courage or bravery, we may not get courage or become brave, but we are given opportunities to be courageous or brave.  Sometimes prayer is answered by the opportunity to learn how to deal with our situation.  Cliff joked that that’s why he and his wife stopped praying for patience because they were presented with lots of opportunities to learn patience.  At times we feel we are the only ones going through something, but actually one of the biggest lies is that you are the only one going through this issue. Respond or React Tracy had a friend that desired to be a basketball coach, but she didn’t want to leave the security of the job she had for a job for which she had no training or experience.  God’s providence occurred and she was laid off from that secure job.  Tracy suggested she go volunteer to help with the team,
