Losing my virginity (audio editing for the first time). Oh, and more plugins!

Coach Kev Uncensored show

Summary: After hearing it was the Cadillac of audio editors, Today I picked up an audio editing package called Adobe Audition.  Those who really know me will think this is funny...  I can not stand not knowing how to do something on a computer!!  There is a reason I never got into video and audio editing, and it has a lot to do with the millions of controls and options built into the software that I don't understand.  I'm the expert right?  I'm the guy who answers questions.  I HATE having to watch tutorials.  The worst part is trying to figure out an advanced skill without a grasp of the application "basics".  For example:  I wanted to record a cheesy segment intro using my own voice singing in 4-part harmony.  So all you do is record the stuff and line it up, right? WRONG!  After first watching the tutorial guys pull tracks in, then stopping the video to figure that part out, then watching them select multiple audio tracks, and having to figure out how they did that.. Well, you get the idea.  Anyway, here is a stupid little clip of what I created today.  It will NOT be part of the show since it was only for testing and the recording levels were bad, but I have to admit that it is both very satisfying and a little creepy hearing myself sing 4 song parts at once.  Feel free to laugh hysterically, I did. Tech Talk_mixdown_01 I also spent a good amount of time writing down show content ideas for the podcast and installing more plugins to the website.  I've updated the about page somewhat (and I am still struggling with that one badly), installed a shopping cart even though I have nothing to sell, installed some other cool shit I have no idea what to do with, and establishing partnerships with amazon.com and audible.com, both of which have accepted me as an online partner.  Woohoo!  Welcome to the big leagues Coach! That is all. Coach Kev
