2006 Seattle Reads: Persepolis

The Seattle Public Library - Programs & Events show

Summary: Each year the Washington Center for the Book at The Seattle Public Library hosts a major author for a series of free programs. Everyone is invited to participate in "Seattle Reads" (formerly known as "If All of Seattle Read the Same Book") by reading the featured selection, joining in a book group discussion and attending the programs. The 2006 featured work is "Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood" by Marjane Satrapi (Pantheon Books, 2003). Marjane Satrapi visited Seattle May 31 - June 3 for the 2006 "Seattle Reads" series. Listen to Marjane Satrapi speak about her life and writing. This is the "main event" of the 2006 Seattle Reads series.
