Summary: Nico Campanella was born in Putignano (Italy) in 1989. His first approach with the world of music came at the age of 11 when he started to study piano. Shortly after, thanks to his great devotion and deep passion for everything concerned the music, he was called from different local bands. At the age of 14 he made his first digital track using a personal computer. After many years of experiments and explorations with sounds, he decided to start the project with the alias Phase I focused more on deep and atmospheric grooves. With the purpose of extending his music thoughts he started another project with the alias of Kaelan focused on the Detroit-Dub techno side. He has always been influenced by great artists such as Basic Channel,Robert Hood, Substance et Vainqueur , Deepchord, Derrick May ,Steve Rachmad ,Carl Craig, Jeff Mills and many others. At the moment he's collaborating with some of the most known dub techno italian and european labels such as CLFT where he released his first vinyl work "Carillon".
