Summary: "This Sorrowful Life" proves to be a redemptive episode for Merle, wonderfully acted by Michael Rooker, who also proves to be the one person to whom Michonne (equally well portrayed by Danai Gurira) can show another side of herself. Also look for the continuing development of Darryl (Norm Reedus) in a tense blood-filled appetizer for the season finale.
