Vegan Nutrition: How Do I Get What I Need?

Vegan and the Living Is Easy show

Summary: What do vegans eat? How do I get my protein? Calcium? How do I make greens taste better? These are a just a handful of questions that come up regularly around the topic of becoming a vegan. So, we thought it was about time we really focused on these questions and others (and any you want to ask on the spot!). To that end, we have invited Lisa Bouley who is incredibly knowledgeable about nutrition, health and owns an amazing vegan restaurant (soon to re-open under the name The Pulse Cafe) in the Boston area. Not only will Lisa address good (and good tasting!) nutrition but she and her husband, Bob, have agreed to give away a $25 gift card to the Pulse Café. So, tune in on Monday, Feb. 8 at 8:00 pm (eastern) and enjoy! About Lisa Bouley: Lisa has abstained from animal products for half of her forty-two years. Having worked in Natural Food stores and other holistic health settings since 1991, Lisa has become well versed in numerous eating styles, including macrobiotics, ayurveda, raw and the Living Food Lifestyle, the Blood Type diet, amongst others. She returned to school and received her Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition. Lisa is now a stay-at-home mother who occasionally teaches classes on vegan nutrition. She is also the co-owner of The Pulse Café, which will be opening in early February at 195 Elm Street, in Davis Square, Somerville.
