All of the discussions and the new trends from the movie are created out of an act of imagination. "They truly believe, at a special moment, at a special location, it is love that brings them together. This is why love is so beautiful." Countless people have taken this message to heart and imagined that, one day, it just might happen to them. I always wonder why we have romantic movies. Are they made to teach people about love, or rather to satisfy their dreams? When it all comes down to it, I've found that all the popular movies that are considered masterpieces are popular because they talk about the near impossibility of finding true love. This is one reason why "Turn Left, Turn Right" is special. But on top of that, this movie also brings up another question—how can we be sure the stranger who just passed us by is our true love? These films address the unanswered questions that truly involve the audience. At the same time, leaving that aside, let me say that I'm impressed with Jimi's (the cartoonist's) style of story-telling. A big thunderstorm destroys the mobile phones which have the contact information of two strangers, disconnecting them indefinitely in a big metropolitan city. This shows us how people living in big cities are so reliant on technology and how our connections are so easy to interrupt. And before I finish, let me quickly mention that the soundtrack is also worth collecting. The previous cassette of the story by Jimi and Elva Hsiao tried to use music to put together the story. Although it wasn't perfect, it was still a must-have item for many teenagers. It's too bad that this is out of print now and really hard to find.
