The Cruisin' Cripples show

Summary: As we do every Tuesday, we address the latest happenings surrounding the disabled community. Today we look at a Baltimore County police detective who will receive $225,000 now that the county has lost a case in which the officer claimed that his rights were violated under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We also address The American Association of People with Disabilities who have awarded Verizon a 2011 Justice for All Award, citing the company's ongoing commitment to provide accessible products and services and its leadership role in supporting passage last year of the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act. We end with a Danvers professor bringing a team of students to Honduras to help people with disabilities.
