For those that follow our podcast weekly, welcome back! To those who are new, we are so excited to have you! We know it has been an extremely difficult time distancing from our loved ones. If you have been following along with us weekly, we typically break down a chapter from John's book, The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader. However, this week we are sitting down with Stephen Shedletzky. A man inspired by Simon Sinek's work, he went from answering fan e-mails to leading brand experience!
It has been an extremely difficult time distancing from our loved ones. That is why we would love if you joined us weekly to discuss new topics and keep your mind busy! If you have been following along with us weekly, we typically break down a chapter from John's book, The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader. This week we decided to have some fun and talk about the how, why and what of podcasting with our podcast producer Danny Ozment.
As we continue masterminding through John's book, The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader, we are focusing on relationships. A leader truly wouldn't be a leader without building relationships. John taught us that relationships are key to our success! Think to yourself, "Do I add value to people or subtract value from people?" No matter the relationship you have with someone, you will either be a plus or a minus in their life.
Today is the day where you decide how you want to do something in your life. There is always another way, always another option! Options allow you to always have another plan for what you are trying to solve. When you look at the current situation we are facing, the Pandemic of COVID-19, it is likely that no one knew the problems we would face during this time. However, you have options to make the best out of it and live each day in a different way.
As we continue through another week, we would be lying if we said there isn't a lot of confusion, frustration, questions running through people's minds. At the end of the day, we are all trying to navigate through this crisis. We had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Daniel Amen, a renowned Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, Author and Leader for another incredible interview.
Today we are focusing on the words, positive attitude. What puts you in a positive mood? It is a mindset that one focuses on the brighter side of things. Although we cannot always be in a positive mood, it sure makes the days flow by easier when we are! We sat down with one of our Transformational Leader Nominees, Barb Stegemann to tune into how to have faith and bring her vision forward.
In today's episode, we continue with this discussion of John's book, 21 Qualities of a Leader, focusing on the word passion. What an incredible word to center around during a global pandemic. We had a special leader join us in sharing what passion means to him, Mr. Mark Batterson.
As we continue on our journey of discussing John's book, 21 Qualities of a Leader, today we focus on the power of listening. Surprisingly this skill does not come naturally for all, can you believe it? Listening is the foundation for all leadership decisions. With communication comes listening, they go hand and hand with each other. If you struggle with really taking a moment to be present in the moment and allowing yourself to hear what is being said, then this is the episode for you!
What is your greatest challenge? Perhaps, you don't know how to write your own story and hide behind those that surround you. Don't be your own enemy, be the person you are meant to be and live out your story.
Tune in to our final episode with Dr. Daniel Amen, 2019, Transformational Leadership Award Winner. We discuss the next chapter of John’s book, 21 Qualities of a Leader, Generosity.
