 ICC Episode 8: Elisa Perez | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:29:27

Eli is a Spanish teacher who has been living until recently in Cork. Before Eli came to Cork to teach students remotely she worked as a teacher in Spain near Malaga. Through an internship in Cork, she learnt a new methodology and gained important experience as a teacher. As a teacher, Eli is focussed on beginners and kids. For those who also consider working online, she recommends doing something you love. First, when she started her online business, she had mostly people from Cork, but meanwhile, her students come from all around the world. The most rewarding part for her is to see when students significantly progress. Eli also is giving advises how to organise yourself when you do not have 9to5 day routine. Having her own online business gives Eli the possibility to leave Cork and move on to a sunnier place on the globe. Listen to the podcast if you want to know more about her plans.  Csabi Episode 6 ICC Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:30:38

As it is ICC’s 10th anniversary, I met with Csabi, the founder of ICC, for an interview. When Csabi and his friend Sebastian met in 2009 through a meetup for international students and expatriates in Cork, they thought it was a onetime event until someone asked them when they would host the next meetup. One decade and countless ICC events later Csabi is comming back to Cork to proudly celebrate the 10th anniversary of ICC with old friends and new volunteers. In this podcast Csabi will tell us about the beginnings of ICC and how ICC has become the No.1 community in Cork.

 Angele ICC Podcast Episode 5 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:48:47

I met with Angèle, the Wondrous Online Woman from Malta. Angèle was born in the beautiful island of Malta. Despite of her love to this small island, Angèle always wanted to live abroad and Ireland seemed to be the perfect opportunity to drop everything and start a new chapter. She first started in a call center like many other expatriates in Cork. But the job was everything but fulfilling. The turning point for her was the day she came back to work after her wedding. She had dyed her hair and her employer told her right away that they do not like this kind of look. But this setback and her desire for happiness, as this is her driving force, helped Angèle to discover that there is an online world out there. In the meantime she encouraged hundreds of women from 26 countries with her sessions, workshops and online courses, just from her spare room in Cork.
