In this week’s podcast, Ken Forster interviews Simon Kampa, CEO & Co-Founder Senseye. Simon has over twenty years leading the development of mission-critical software, across industry, aerospace, and defense. Before Senseye, he was Managing Director of Critical Software (UK) where he expanded its operation and established its focus on data analytics systems for complex machineries such as helicopters, aircraft, and trains. Simon then co-founded Senseye to disrupt the Predictive Maintenance domain with a fully automated and turnkey solution targeted at the wider industrial sector. Simon holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.

Prior to Cisco, Flavio worked at several Bay Area startups and was at AT&T Bell Labs, where he was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University as well as a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy. A consummate learner, he has published 100+ papers in technical journals and conference proceedings and is a co-inventor in 60+ USA and International Patents. Carles was nominated to the European Inventor Award (2014), named Technology Pioneers by the World Economic Forum (2005) and awarded the IST Grand Prize by the European Commission (1998). He is an inventor in 145 patents, has co-authored 150 scientific papers, and is a professor at BarcelonaTech (UPC), where he earned his PhD. He has taught graduate courses on technology and patent management at Penn-Wharton, ESADE Business School and CEIPI.
