 6.19 | John Mark McMillan | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:24

Singer-Songwriter, John Mark McMillan, joins the show to discuss pushing creative boundaries and his new Christmas album. Smile In The Mystery is the first-ever Christmas album from Platinum-selling songwriter and artist John Mark McMillan. The record is a collection of original tracks, fresh arrangements of beloved holiday songs, and a few surprise covers. It also features guest vocals from his wife and artist, Sarah McMillan (the co-writer of "King Of My Heart"). "What does it tell us about God that Christ would be born not to kings, the affluent, nor the influential?" McMillan asks. "What does this say of His thoughts on politics and power that His answer to the longing of humanity would be a helpless, homeless, baby boy?" These are the ideas McMillan explores through "Baby Son" and all seven tracks. The full album releases everywhere on Friday, Nov. 23 through his record label Lionhawk Records.   LINKS Official: www.johnmcmillan.com FB: (@johnmarkmcmillan) https://www.facebook.com/JohnMarkMcMillan Twitter: (@johnmarkmc) https://twitter.com/johnmarkmc Instagram: (@johnmarkmcmillan) https://www.instagram.com/johnmarkmcmillan YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/johnmarkofficial Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0T1KC0OHfbRO0O5bNH2tek?si=kVi7N3JeTN6IvLgEVqcmXw https://www.createinitiative.org/workshops/   MUSIC: I Want a Synthesizer for Christmas by Be Still the EarthLicensed through soundstripe.com Deck the Hallz by Mikey GeigerLicensed through soundstripe.com
