This week's episode may be a tiny bit controversial but it's meant to make us all evaluate why and when we expect something to be free, instead of considering why you have that expectation. Not having budget isn't always a reason, it's sometimes an excuse. Let's all start valuing each other in the industry and keep the respect at a premium! Dave and Glyn discuss examples and situations they been involved in and look at the design and photography industry seperately and together, why do we have to deal with the assumptions we'll work for free or expect others too. We'd love to hear your experiences and examples of why and why not, tell us about your successes or failures.
This week, Glyn chats to Rick Wenner who is a New York based award winning portrait photographer whose work has been featured in numerous magazines and press outlets. If you've followed this podcast since last year you'll know that Glyn and Dave have given some advice on how to behave, how to get ahead and how to build relationships. Today's episode is a very powerful message, it's about life and death and the sudden unexpected loss of a loved one. It's about capturing people and moments before it's too late. Following on from episode 42, our interview with Nathan Black, something happened over Christmas that Glyn wants to talk about. It's quite emotional but a really important message if you have the ability to make a difference with photography.

Compelling Photography is all about Timelessness and Vincent explains how to embrace this using today's technology. Today, based in Los Angeles, he divides his time between commercial and fine art photography assignments, teaching, and consulting for such suppliers as Nikon, Epson, Nik, OnOne, X-Rite, Adobe, Westcott and others.
Glyn chats to photographer and lighting expert Brandon Heiss of Westcott to help new photographers know all about light modifiers, why are there so many, what should you look for, how should they be used and more great advice. Dave is looking to improve his photography in 2019 so this episode was to help people like Dave demystify the world of lighting and modifiers.
In this very special episode of He Shoots, He Draws, Glyn interviews Royal Marine, 41 Commando, D Day Veteran, Ted Owens. Glyn photographed Ted early December and it is such an incredible story that we wanted to share this interview with you. We hope you enjoy this amazing tale of a Commando who selflessly and courageously served our country.
Once we hit episode 50 we wanted to start our next 50 with a great friend and a great guest, Joe McNally and his lovely, super talented wife, Annie Cahill.
