Today's episode was inspired by a question from Matthew Moore about easy wins for recording at home, and focused on how to manage echo and vocal reflection. This includes fun techniques such as building a fort as a grown up, hiring someone to hold blankets for you, and not podcasting in the bath. As well as thinking about Chris in his pants.

In this episode we wanted to talk about a question that has been asked a lot of us lately and that is how to get guests on to your podcast, or how to become a guest on others podcasts. We run through why these are great ways to grow your own show, as well as our approach to these.

Our question this week from Harry Morgan was about whether or not to use Facebook Adverts to grow your Podcast audience. There are advantages and disadvantages to doing this and we go through the different ways, as well as my top tip to save yourself money and convert successfully with online advertising. To learn about the Facebook Pixel and using it for podcasting in this episode.

Our question this week from Louise Harnby asked whether or not we should put audio only podcasts onto YouTube! There are advantages and disadvantages to doing this both for your Podcast and for your Youtube channel, so we discuss all the pro's and con's. As well as talk about the easiest ways to do this, and what to watch out for!

The best way to save yourself time when editing is to improve your recording quality. Saving yourself the need to edit out background noises, echoes and annoying microphone noises. Our question this week came from Victor who asked for tips on getting better recordings. In this episode we talk about: microphone technique, recording spaces, sound proofing, editing techniques for noise, annoying notifications, vocal ticks, and that annoying tutting noise.

However we chatted to Matt for ages and it was an awesome chat, so here it is as a full bonus episode.

So we answered this question in 60 seconds and then continued to talk about swearing in podcasts and looked at if it does effect your show's listing, being featured as well as many other things.
