This week, Cody treks to a massive undertaking on a golden rocky peak just a few miles away from one of America's most iconic attractions. But the subject today transcends just being a roadside lure, and forces us to ask ourselves about the morality of leaving legacies for our heroes.
An unlikely hero saves the day when an historic snow storm keeps an expedition from returning home. A tale that has been immortalized by those who have a horse to thank for one of the city's key accomplishments. This week Cody travel's to Cedar City, UT and traces the route taken by hundreds of men and women to construct a iconic building needed to further education. A town that has revolved around that building and what it represents for over 100 years.
A few miles away from America's first national park, an event occurred that forever changed a landscape. Creating lakes, shifting mountains and forever altering the lives of those there that night. This week Cody travels to 1959, West Yellowstone, Montana and delves into the stories of those that survived that night. He stands on the overlook and tells of his experience at this mountain range turned memorial.
This week, Cody travels all the way back to landing on the eastern shores and follows its path to what we know and think we know about Road Tripping today.
