Now that our journey through the book is done, we're diving headfirst into more movie adaptations! Kicking off with a less overt interpretation of MS's classic, we examine Ridley Scott's 1982 Blade Runner! – in an ep that is 1/3 Blade Runner critique, 1/3 Asher going on and on about the book Blade Runner was actually based on, and 1/3 what we actually set out to do...

We're back giant-monster-baby! A warm welcome back to Nancy! – who has successfully returned from her voyage abroad without any tag-along vengeance-fuelled creatures (that Asher is aware of at the time of writing...) This week we discuss the last few chapters of the novel and give our final (for now) thoughts on the text as a whole. If you love "academic" fan theories and ramble-y tangents of the evocative and bizarre varieties, then hopefully this episode will not disappoint!

Will they cope with minor superfluous changes, such as Victor Frankenstein being rennamed Henry Frankenstein, and Henry Clerval becoming Victor Moritz?? ... Probably not. Enjoy!

We take a break from our slow and steady book analysis to do the thing we originally intended to do - huzzah! In this episode we look at "I, Frankenstein", a 2014 action fantasy film from the creators of Underworld, directed by Stuart Beattie. The setting is somewhere in Europe in the present or near future, the Creature is inexplicably American-accented, and indiscreet Melbourne location-shooting may negatively affect your suspension of disbelief.
