Why is it we are so hard on ourselves? Why do we say things to ourselves that we would never say about someone else? Join us as we chat with Leann Harris and find concrete ways to be kinder to ourselves and have some self-compassion. Leann Harris is a New Leaf Meditation Instructor and has been practicing Zen meditation for over fifteen years. She is an analyst and coach who helps others develop resilience by using mindfulness, acceptance, and committed actions to live a meaningful life. Her meditation practice started after one too many days of feeling overwhelmed and anxious by intense loss and change. As a recovering over-thinker, she has led meditation instruction and retreats over the years to help people calm their "wild-like-a-puppy" minds. She lives with her husband and four dogs and works as an Analyst in I.T. When she is not meditating or walking the dogs, you can find her doing bookish things like reading and blogging about the books she loves. You can read more about her at www.whatreallyhelps.com or you could check out her new blog at www.theretherereadthis.com More Information about New Leaf Meditation Project http://www.newleafmeditation.org/ Like us on Facebook
