Questions raised this episode: Why is Kathleen Turner my go-to sexy voice? What does Mike sound like eating Japanese Kit-Kats live on air? How many bear claw flavors are you familiar with? Other topics include: X-Men Grand Design, Mister Miracle, Snagglepus, Punisher: Platoon, Punisher on Netflix, and some very brief Justice League talk because Ed is a big dumb idiot loser who hasn't seen it yet.

General topics discussed: Ed’s wedding, Mountain Dew red flavor, Arbys, Mike commits financial malfeasance with too much KFC, Ed visits the X-Men of the 90s in his magic hammock and attempts several accents (poorly). Comic book movies: Wonder Woman, Justice League anticipation (why is Cyborg a thing?), and Spider-Man Homecoming Snacks discussed: Ketchup chips, candy corns, waffle and syrup Oreos, White Fudge Ding Dongs, popcorn of various combinations.

Description: Look I know we usually get cute with the episode titles and descriptions, but after years of badgering Mike finally read Preacher and we're all very excited about it. So naturally we talk about other stuff for like 20 minutes first. Other stuff like: Ed is mad at some birds (and also worried about some other birds). There's also a whole squirrel situation. Mike tries Fireworks Oreos, tries (and fails) to talk about eating mixed nuts without giggling, and reminisces about workplace cashew theft. Peanuts are mostly bullshit. Along with Preacher we discuss Logan, the sort of origins of Secret Empire as best as Mike can remember them, Black Bolt, Squirrel Girl, and Kingpin. Listen to it with your ears.

Mike eats Peeps Oreos (Ed abstains and also doesn’t know how metaphors work). Spring Oreos hack your brain to make you taste things that aren’t there. Ed makes goose noises and gets mad at Canada (again) while Mike lords his Tastykake superiority over us all (rude). There’s a time and a place for Arby’s. Pace yourself. Iron Fist has pretty bad kung fu for a kung fu show so watch Legion instead. Mike has some questions for and about Steve Ditko. Comics discussed include Squirrel Girl, A-Man, The Old Guard, and The Wild Storm as well as a lightning round of comic book movies on the horizon. Feel free to “replying to” us on Twitter if you know why there have been two Fandrals in the Thor Movies because Ed is VERY concerned about that.

Mike finishes The Punisher, hates candy hearts, and makes unfortunate Pop Tart decisions. Ed has a lot of opinions about whether or not you should sort your candy (thanks for NOTHING, Skittles). The guys also take a deep dive into fudge preferences (who is buying strawberry fudge? We don’t care please don’t @ us). What if candy bars played music? Comics discussed include: Civil War II, Black Hammer, Flintstones, Punisher, the Doctor Strange movie, and more.

In this episode Mike and Ed discuss their ideal algorirthmic-based Fun Size candy distribution (Butterfingers go first), the ability to mail hashbrowns (you can, but you shouldn't), the technology behind wireless on-demand Pop-Tart delivery, Ed gets mad at nature again ("Way to go, nature. Idiots!"), and the guys lament the untimely loss of Steve Dillon. Comics (and comic adjacent matters) discussed include Punisher (Essl's promises he's almost done we swear), Dr. Strange fatigue and/or excitement, the Old Man Logan trailer, and Ed's unlikely, but incredibly enthusiastic endorsement of The Flintstones comics. Snack talk focuses on Limited Edition Pringles, Halloween candy, and delicious and perfect milk chocolate vs terrible and disgusting dark chocolate.

Mike and Ed discuss Pop-Tarts (Ed has a system for eating them, a whole system!), Dunkin Donuts Jelly Donuts (filled with nondescript fruit flavor), and the Limited Edition Oreo black market (Mike and Ed are both guilty of getting high on their own supply). Mike is rapidly approaching the end of his endless slog through every Punisher appearance ever. Ed can’t shut up about Squirrel Girl. Again. Mike loves Brain Dead and Stranger Things. Ed prepares to take to the sea.

Ed goes to Mexico, Mike makes a Mountain Dew cocktail, and Batman has a scary dream. Ed has feelings about Batman v Superman. Like a LOT of feelings. Probably too many feelings. None of his feelings are good. Snack Talk focuses on (bounces haphazardly between) Mike’s deep dive into a myriad of Mountain Dew flavors (including black which isn’t a good food/drink color), even more Oreo flavors (and the subpar adhesiveness of limited edition Oreo creme), and Mexican Fri-tos (yes that’s how they spell it on the bag). Comics discussed include Squadron Supreme, Howard The Duck, and Punisher (for a change).

Mike and Ed talk about the latest X-Men motion picture (and try to remember if Psylocke even had any lines). They also dip into the Preacher TV show (Mike still hasn’t read the comics and Ed is pretty steamed about it, but we’re staying together for the kids. You. You’re the kids in this metaphor). Comics discussed include Mockingbird, Old Man Logan, and Punisher. Always Punisher. Snack talk features Oreos vs. S’MOreos vs. Cinnamon Roll Oreos as well as Red Velvet anything as a cream cheese frosting delivery system (and regrettably some discussion about fruits and vegetables we apologize for that we’ll try not to let it happen again).

Mike and Ed talk about Civil War (the Captain America movie AND the comic book event, but not the horrific brother vs brother conflict that ripped the nation asunder), grape soda, Supernatural (unfortunately), and Mike’s appointment as Dean (of Cooper Union, not Dean Winchester). Comics include: Civil War, Civil War II, and probably some Punisher. Snack talk features fruit flavored sodas and the bullshit con job that is limited edition flavored snacks.

Mike and Ed talk about Chip Zdarsky’s Howard the Duck and Kraven the Hunter’s Kra-Van. Mike loves Mountain Dew Code Red and Ed is off his diet. Comics include Howard the Duck, Howard the Human, Secret Wars, Fantastic Four, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Silver Surfer, Venom: Space Knight, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Snack Talk features BBQ potato chips, Pim’s Orange Soft Biscuits, and Mountain Dew Code Red. Next episode we’re talking about Marvel’s Civil War.

Mike and Ed talk Daredevil Season Two. Ed loves the ninja stuff and Mike has trouble with the Punisher’s new origin story. Mike talks about how Batman v Superman made him cry. Snack Talk features Funny Bones, Sugar Babies, Cadbury Mini Eggs, Cadbury Creme Eggs, Whoppers Robin Eggs, Salmon, Oysters, and today’s inferior bananas and tomatoes. Also, Ed hates Radiohead.
