Chad, back from receiving an individual bronze medal in the World Fishing Championships, joins Steph and Chas in the studio. Local fishing reports lead off the conversation as the thick ice season is upon us. Chad tells us more about the World Championships, some equipment from other countries, and the possibility of Ice Fishing becoming an Olympic sport. The show wraps up with some advice on when to know the season is over and it is no longer safe to go out on the ice. Chad is now considered ranked number three in the world as an ice fisherman. There has only been one other American to medal in the Worlds and he is from Michigan as well. MI Ice Guy Pride!
Steph and Chas. spend some time talking about the changing tactics of mid season fishing. They also recap the past couple of tournaments and some local fishing stories. Step enlightens Chas. on some of the differences in the World Championship over NAIFC tournament rules.
Steph and Chas are joined in the Schmohz Studio by Jim Sprauge and Jack Horning of K & E Stopper Lures. We talk about how the bite has been so far this season, the history and products of K & E, cooking and some tournament news from Steph.
