Two Nerdy Black Guys

It’s an all new episode of Shooting the Shit with Two Nerdy Black Guys.  Today, Djm has some mental purging today.  Some good, mostly bad, but trending upward! Kaz convinced the Deej to get this show going as an opportunity to exorcise the demons in his head, and he’s rolling with it. Speaking of non-existent segues, Kaz has been playing The Last of Us, the big PS3 exclusive that the whole gaming world is talking about right now. “S/O to Drew for helping me to get Kaz to play more games than just goddamn Starcraft!” –Djm This and asexuality.  Tune in!

And the band is back together.  The Two Nerdy Black Guys had a minor reprieve, but things are back in order and Djm is getting into a rhythm with those whole podcasting thang. Kaz? Well, he’s coming along. Just stay tuned. In the meantime, Superman! All the Supermans! Djm is coming in straight from seeing Man of Steel, and Superman: Unbound on Netflix the day before.  His thoughts, and a good bit of DC Hero Talk is spread all over this episode. To further the hopeless stereotype, video games. Kaz finished Sleeping Dogs and the Deej is playing Remember Me. All that, and Kaz’s trip to Pride week and Djm’s weekend at the Orion Festival and finally letting out the metalhead that’s always been inside. Let’s hit it, kids. STS it is.

  This week, it was the beginning of what could be something brilliant.  Djm & kingkaz hung out IRL for the first time in Chicago. You’ll hear about all of the events on Fanny Pack Wrestling and Nanashi in the near future. In the present, Djm saw Star Trek Into Darkness. What did this young Trekkie think of the sequel to the 2009 reboot?  Kaz offers his enthusiasm for JJ Abrams directing these movies and Star Wars in the future. The guys discuss conventions in their respective hometowns and the convenience of having a car and going home or staying in the hotel and fully immersing yourself in the craziness of con. later on, Djm has a question about the XBox One announcement and the difference between “DRM” & “Always On”. All that and a few stretched horrible segues!

Well, yeah. The website was a thing that happened.  Kaz & Djm are still managing to record and get episodes out while the Deej works on putting the site back together and will hopefully have it running smoothly again soon. Kaz discovered a fascinating little TV show from Canada called The Yard.  Take “The Wire” and…make it with kids in elementary school. Yep. You’re welcome. Later, an elephant in the room of sorts. Why do these two dudes talk so funny? One’s from Detroit, but sounds like a warped news anchor, the other lives in Baltimore but sounds like he’s from New York, and neither sound, well…like how society expects them to sound.  How the crap did any of this even happen? Plus, an update on the future of Young Justice and DC Nation.  Shoot the shit, shall we?
