That Guy | Part 1… If the Bible assumes anything about people, it assumes that we are all crazy. We can be selfish, backstabbing, graspy, arrogant, and just plain difficult. With commands to be patient, forgiving and tender hearted, it’s a guarantee that our relationships are going to be messy. Yet, instead of running away when things are difficult, we are urged to deal with each other in spite of our sin. Even when we want to run the other way, we are given the command to love. Love is messy and challenging, but God urges us to get our hands messy. We invite you to join us for “That Guy” where we learn that everybody is someone's difficult person, including yourself.
My One Word | Part 3… The concept of My One Word is simple. Lose the long list of resolutions – all your sweeping promises to change – and do something about one thing instead of nothing about everything. Choose just one word that represents what you most hope God will do in you, and focus on it for an entire year. This single act will force clarity and concentrate your efforts. As you focus on your word over an extended period of time, you position yourself for God to form your character at a deep, sustainable level. Growth and change will result.

My One Word | Book Release… "My One Word" is an experiment designed to move you beyond the past and look ahead. The challenge is simple: lose the long list of changes you want to make this year and instead pick ONE WORD. This process provides clarity by taking all of your big plans for life change and narrowing them down into a single thing. One word focuses on your character and creates a vision for your future.
Christmas Ties | Part 2… Christmas reminds us of Jesus. Amid all the holiday bustle, you can't escape the discussions centering around the central figure of Christmas. Whether you are intentionally mindful of Him or whether you are reminded by the controversy, either way Jesus arrives on the scene. The question that must be answered is what is the connection between the baby in the manger and you? In the series, Christmas Ties, we explore how Jesus entering into time, space, skin and, even into your mess, means you can relate to Him more than you realize.

Grattitude | Part 2… Gratitude isn’t a natural act. Yet, we are charged with giving thanks in EVERY circumstance. The emotions we feel towards our circumstances serve as markers of our spiritual growth. When we are grateful, we glorify God because it reveals that we are content with His purposes and confident in His provision. We invite to join us for Gratitude, as we learn that gratitude rises as grace is extended.

Stand Alone | A Good Story
Series: "We the People" | Part 3… Many of us are passionate about our views and the direction we believe the country should go and we are armed with one vote. We must see our politics through the lens of our faith and not the other way around. The goal not that we pass the right laws, elect the right people, or establish the right government, but that God’s people are made right with Him. So, as we embark on our three-week series entitled We The People, we want you to stop and think what glasses you are wearing and how this lens is shaping your response to the political process. If politics make you angry and leads you to think about people in ways that are less than loving, you need to check your glasses. If politics make you anxious and you are terrified of the wrong person being elected, you need to check your glasses. If politics make you believe that we are electing someone who will save our world from its sins, you need to check your glasses. It is time for “We The People” to look through the lens of our faith and allow the reality of God and the Truth of His word to define how we see this earthly rule in light of the Heavenly One.

Series: "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven, but Nobody Wants to Die" | Part 3… Death is inevitable. It’s the one thing in life that doesn’t discriminate. You are going to die. The people you love the most will pass away as well. Yet, we fight, fear, despise, ignore and even try to escape death. We need to get a grip on death because our perspective on this subject shapes our perspective on life. Our understanding of Death shapes how we live our lives. So, we invite you to join us over the next three weeks for Everybody Wants to go to Heaven, but Nobody Wants to Die as we learn that death is inevitable, but life is not.
