Citrix vice president Sameer Dholakia and guest speaker Geva Perry dispelled common myths about building and connecting cloud services; for example, cloud adoption is coming from the bottom up, not from the top down, and cloud is not next-gen server virtualization. The presentation also illustrated important use cases for cloud, such as disaster recovery, mobile app delivery and application development using Platform as a Service capability. The consensus is that cloud computing represents a transformation equivalent to the shift from mainframes to PCs.
