January 26th, 2012: In 2012's first News Conference with Governor Gary Herbert he tackles the issue of poor air quality in Utah. Different bills have been presented to the legislature about how to improve Utah's air. Governer Herbert said we all need to step up in this issue.

Governor Herbert also spoke on ethics reform in congress, so called “message bills”, including his upcoming decision on controversial legislation for Senate Bill 11, and his vision for the future of Utah.
