February 23rd, 2012: Governor Gary Herbert plans to go to D.C. to talk about public lands in Utah. Utah has less than 25% of it's lands privately owned.

January 26th, 2012: In 2012's first News Conference with Governor Gary Herbert he tackles the issue of poor air quality in Utah. Different bills have been presented to the legislature about how to improve Utah's air. Governer Herbert said we all need to step up in this issue.

November 20th, 2011: In the last News Conference of 2011, Governor Gary Herbert reflects on one year later after the passing illigal immigration laws. He talks about modifying HB116 in the 2012 Legislative session and how E-Verify will play into the system. Gov. Herbert alos talks about having a discussion about privatizing liquor sales, earmarking funds for the Lake Powell Pipleline, and job cuts at Hill Air Force Base.

October 30th, 2011: In the October Monthly News Conference, Governor Gary Herbert addresses the problems that affected the DABC, and the restructuring changes he made. Gov. Herbert also addressed the UTA land deal, looking back at the illegal immigration laws, and the redistricting process.

October 3rd, 2011: On September 29th, Governor Gary Herbert spoke to Utah's press corps in his Monthly News Conference at KUED. He spoke in depth about redistricting, the DABC controversy, and the state of the Health Care Insurance Exchange.

August 29th, 2011: In the August 2011 edition of the Governor's Monthly News Conference, Governor Gary Herbert talks in depth about the Department of Acoholic Beverage Control investigation and the Federal Government's policy on illegal immigration.

June 26th, 2011: At today's taping of the Governor's Monthly News Conference, Governor Herbert fielded numerous questions concerning Utah's new illegal immigration laws. Additionally, the Governor of Utah spoke about public land use, the discussions about changing the rules to GRAMA, and about Utah hosting both Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman during their presidential bids.

March 27th, 2011: Governor Gary R. Herbert sums up the 2011 Legislative session in this edition of the News Conference. The process involved in the passing of House Bill 477 is discussed, along with immigration legislation, nuclear power in Utah, and the firing of Forrest Cuch.

August 29th, 2010: This month Governor Gary Herbert speaks in depth about his views on public education, including a greater rigor for seniors balanced with the need for seminary. He also speaks about the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution and how it applies to today's issues of illegal immigration.

May 30th, 2010: This week during the News Conference Governor Gary Herbert spoke extensively about Utah creating its own state immigration law, referencing legislation recently enacted in Arizona. He spoke of how it would affect current law enforcement and the state's growing Latino population.

March 28th, 2010: This month Governor Gary Herbert reacted strongly to reports of threats made against members of Congress after they voted in support of National Health Care reform. Governor Herbert also spoke about his support of Utah's legal challenge to the Health Care Reform act and the state legislators who resigned their positions after improper conduct was revealed.

February 26th, 2010: This week Governor Gary Herbert spoke in depth about the current legislative session, Medicaid, local and national healthcare reform, proposed cuts in education, balancing the budget, and the purpose of the rainy day fund. Governor Herbert also spoke on ethics reform in congress, so called “message bills”, including his upcoming decision on controversial legislation for Senate Bill 11, and his vision for the future of Utah.

January 22nd, 2010: This week Governor Gary Herbert spoke in depth about the upcoming state budget and the impact to higher education, water issues, and depleted uranium disposal. Governor Herbert also spoke on ethics reform in congress, the issues lobbyists and former Senate Majority Leader Sheldon Killpack, and running against Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon in this year's special election.
