Days in the Park: A Disneyland podcast with trip recaps, blog highlights and more!
Summary: A podcast all about the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. In each episode we discuss current features from our blog, talk about news and highlights from recent trips into Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, throw out some of our favorite Hidden Mickeys, and anything else we can think of to help you bring Disney magic into your own home.
In this episode, we're going back in time and revisiting some character information from a previous episode as Mark got to meet one of his "goofy" heroes. We're also bidding a fond farewell to some of our favorite Disneyland spots, and looking FORWARD to a few more. And the debate over the Dole Whip and the Mint Julep rages on as we discuss that timeless question: "Can a beverage be an attraction"? Lastly, Mark gets his day in the spotlight as we finally reveal one of his favorite, and a very personal, Mickey in our Hidden Mickey segment. So pull up your chair and sit a spell; we'll all be happy that you did!
In this episode, we're introducing a whole new podcast segment! Well, wholly new for our podcast anyway, as we invite a guest to sit down in the Days in the Park studios with us (all the way from New Hampshire, no less) to join in on the fun. In this month's show, which we've dubbed our "ChatCast", we sit down with Beth Doda, the lady behind the great Disney blog and website, Pursuing the Magic and The Magical Blogorail, to talk all about her love for Disney, and how she got her start as a Disney blogger. We had a great time just chatting her up about all manner of Disney blog, and Walt Disney World, related topics so pull up your chair, sit a spell, and join us for all of the fun! We'll all be happy that you did!
Come stroll along with us for our latest episode of the Days in the ParkCast, our self-proclaimed "Christmas Spectacularrrrr!" In this packed-to-the-hilt episode of the ParkCast, we're tackling the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort and giving our own take on everything that Disneyland has to offer during this very special time of year. We hope that if you're a fan of Disneyland during the holidays, you'll get a kick out of reliving your favorite moments from our perspective, and if you've never been but are interested in Disneyland this time of year, well, there's something in there for you too! Pull up your chair and sit a spell; we’ll be happy you did!
In this, the latest "Banzai" episode of our ParkCast, we're talking about a very unique opportunity we recently had to participate in a charity walk for CHOC (the Children's Hospital of Orange County) at Disneyland in early October. As members of the Disney community, and as people who truly enjoy giving back to such an amazing community, we jumped at the chance to participate in such an amazing event! So come on by and join us as we recount the wonderful experience we had participating in this annual event (CHOC Walk in the Park 2011), and find out how you can get involved yourselves in the future. Pull up your chair and sit a spell; we’ll be happy you did!
You've heard of Christmas in July? Well, since it's actually Christmas month now (December), we're celebrating Halloween instead! In this special Banzai episode of the ParkCast, we're travelling back in time to October 21, 2011 to relive a special Day in the Park at Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland. Come along with us as we take a walk down memory lane (or Main Street U.S.A. if you prefer) and talk about all of the wonderfully creepy and fantastic things this one-of-a-kind Halloween Party at the Happiest Place on Earth has to offer. Pull up a chair, sit a spell, and listen along; we'll be happy you did!
In the latest episode of our "Days in the Parkcast", we're introducing the first of our new, shorter "Banzai" episodes! You'll have to listen to find out more about just what a "Banzai" episode is, but in this episode we're revisiting a topic from one of our previous "ParkCast"s, and talking about a challenge we gave ourselves over the course of the summer. The challenge? To answer that age old question men have been dying to know since we came up with it a few months ago. The question? "Is it possible to ride every attraction at Disneyland in the course of ONE day?" Did we succeed? You're just going to have to stop on by and give a listen to find out. So pull up your chair and sit a spell; we’ll be happy you did!
In the latest episode of our "Days in the Parkcast", we're introducing some new segments! Our writer Amy is finally on board with one of our favorite segments from our blog, 'Amy's Favorite Things'. We're also bringing back our informational trip recaps, the aptly named 'A Recent Day in the Park', with highlights and information from our recent trips into the Disneyland Resort that hopefully you can use for your own trips. We'll also be dropping our regular "Hidden Mickey" segment on our listeners, as well as a new segment, the "Best of the Blogosphere", where we're highlighting some of our favorite "Disney reads" from around the web. Stop on by and give a listen. We’ll be happy you did!
In our latest episode we spend some time discussing the changes currently taking place inside (and outside!) Disney California Adventure as part of the current expansion going on at The Resort. But we're not all business! We're talking food again this month as we highlight one of the newer restaurants at The Resort, Tangaroa Terrace. And we spend some time wittily bantering about possibly our favorite attraction (and one of its Hidden Mickeys) at The Parks, Splash Mountain. Stop on by and give a listen. We’ll be happy you did!
In our latest episode we recount our recent trip to the Walt Disney Studios for our first D23 event - the "50 and Fabulous" screening of the Disney classic, 'The Parent Trap'. We also head out to The Park on a recent Sunday to hang with some of our favorite fanboys for Star Wars Day at Disneyland. And food is on the menu! We spend some time lamenting the passing of an old friend (the Mission Tortilla Factory at Disney California Adventure) as well as digging into some quality corn-doggage at the Corn Dog Castle. Oh, and there's a Hidden Mickey, too! Stop on by and give a listen. We'll be happy you did!
In our latest episode we spend some time talking about a recent "faux pas" from Episode 4 involving Chad's big mouth and our friends from FindingMickey.com. We also spend time finally getting to discuss the newest attractions at the Disneyland Resort: The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
In this episode your intrepid Parkers spend some time discussing a recent trip into The Park where we met Jack Lindquist, participated in an AIDS Walk, became Galactic Heroes and took on one gnarly queue and a wily snake in a forbidden temple. Come join us!
In our latest episode we spend some time recapping a recent evening in the Park that began rather ominously (yet humorously in retrospect), and talk (and laugh) a lot about the coming of Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. We also spend some time talking up a Hidden Mickey, taking a look at some little-known trivia from New Orleans Square, and we take a listener request and spend some time hanging out in the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country.
In this episode we spend some time discussing some of the new openings at Disney California Adventure. We also look at one of our favorite Hidden Mickeys while discussing one of our favorite attractions, Soarin Over California, and we enjoy an ultra-fine meal at Steakhouse 55 to boot.
In this episode our intrepid adventurers introduce themselves to the world of podcasting. We spend some time wandering The Resort and looking at some of the many changes coming, as well as discussing a Hidden Mickey and riding a little behemoth we call Mickeys Fun Wheel.
