Summary: The purpose of this series is to give you a first-hand look at transit-oriented development as local cities, residents, developers and planners in the San Francisco Bay Area bring this concept to life. Whether you call them transit villages, walkable neighborhoods, or transit-oriented developments, the general concept is the same: when you cluster homes, services and shops around transit, you create a synergy that results in a whole host of benefits for the community and the region.
