One of our readers, Sarah Heller of Monterey Park, CA, let us know about an amazing experience she had earlier today while listening to Ryan Seacrest. During her 5 minute conversation with Ryan, she explained the plot of The Hunger Games and then before she hung up, mentioned to him about how badly she wanted to go to the premiere. He gave her two tickets right then and there and revealed that Josh Hutcherson will be on the show at 7:20 tomorrow morning. So those of you who can listen to 102.7 KIIS FM, be sure to tune in because after Josh's guest appearance, Ryan is going to be giving away pairs of tickets to the world premiere (taking place at LA Live on March 12) EVERY HOUR of the show EVERY DAY for the NEXT WEEK. We talk the newly announced release date for the 'Hunger Games' movie, March 23rd 2012, along with our special guest Matt Britton! Is it too soon, too late, will it change? Is this enough time for the CGI required, filming, and post-production, especially when we take into account that nobody has been officially cast yet? We talk more about the actresses who should play Katniss (we always get on this topic, we are about to explode out of anticipation, cast her please!), and banter about the movie rating / budget as well. We feature a great song called 'Earth' by Second Person, which seems to fit eerily well to the books.

We discuss the PG-13 rating, and how a lot of people want it to be R, how Gary Ross got the job as director, and that auditions should be under way RIGHT NOW. How exciting is that? In this overdue podcast we discuss the director decision for the 'Hunger Games' movie, actresses that have received the script, and the age-issue with casting. How old is too old, and how young is too young? We touch on people's problems with the ending, what loose ends they wished had been tied up. Sorry for the delay in getting this up! Here is our live podcast t the Torrance Borders that happened on the 28th of August! Our friends Matt and Andrew from Imprint and Mugglecast joined us. We had a lot of fun with the 20 fans that showed up to the podcast, and unfortunately spoiling JD who hadn't finished the book at the time. (Sorry JD!) We discuss the book, and a very exciting email that we recently got from the movie's producers! There are some sound issues so some of us are way loud and some of us are way soft, but we're going to try to get a video recording of it and put it on YouTube as well.
