Many viewers have emailed in asking about what Angelea uses around the farm for feed, forage and supplements so we decided to cover the basics of supplements. Several decades of experience with equestrian surfaces, makes Nick Attwood the perfect person to talk with about producing an effective sport horse training surface. Angelea met with Nick Attwood of Attwood Equestrian Surfaces to talk about the installation of GGT, German Geo Textile, footing. GGT-Footing, a shredded textile, that stabilizes the sand particles mimicing the effect of the rooting system of turf, which has a stabilizing effect on the surrounding soil particles. GGT footing give more resilience, reduces the amount of packing and helps to hold moisture in the surface, which leads to reduced dust. The secret with GGT really is in the sand.

Dr. Tucker has been with horses professionally since 1973. He worked full time on a Thoroughbred breeding and training farm in Bedford Hills, NY. He started as a manure engineer and worked his way up to assistant farm manager. There were up to 20 horses in training and up to 100 mares foaling during the breeding season and about 10 stallions standing at stud. As the foaling manager, Dr. Tucker attended all foalings and assisted deliveries either before the vet arrived or with the help of the vet. He was also responsible for all the preventive medicine on the farm. Angelea talks with Geoff about his passion to give relieve horses and their owners through his natural, low stress methods.
