Welcome to Episode 63 of "Peter and Omar's Arts and Culture Show". This week, Peter and Omar welcome Chris Mammarelli to the show. This is the first double (2x) (2) (two!) Bonus material episode in the history of the show. Just when you think it's wrapping up, absurd brilliance springs anew. Regarding Mr. Mammarelli.... Chris is a charismatic actor, director, filmmaker, director of photography, tech savant with a throbbing, hyper-intensity that takes the Peter and Omar lair by storm. As a proud college dropout, Chris mastered the tech world, excelling in the roles of a webmaster for a corporate undertaker (auction liquidation for bankrupt companies), to operations for a prominent national conference call company, to web marketing manager for a cochlear implant company, and finally to his own phone sex programming company. Sensing that Motion pictures are at the same tipping point that the music industry was at over a decade ago, Chris used his success in the tech world to amass a war chest that he is now unleashing to properly create films by his own rules. Mr. Mammarelli is the model for filmmaking in the 21st Century - fully embracing the bleeding edge of technology, using small, digital, savvy crews, and creating great content on small budgets. He was one of the first to receive a R3D Epic digital camera - the industry standard for long-form, digital feature filmmaking - a large feat for someone not affiliated with large production company or studio... On another note... After being in being present in Tokyo for the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear aftermath - Chris returned to raise money for Japan relief fund: https://picasaweb.google.com/109646301115959796032/JapanFundraiser . Her two films which feature her work as a multihyphenate are STRIPPED DOWN and AT RISK. STRIPPED DOWN, a dark comedy where revenge becomes redemption, is aesthetically reminiscent of David Lynch and Luis Bunuel. This film stars IAN ZIERING ("Beverly Hills 90210" and “Dancing with the Stars”) and MARCUS JEAN PIRAE (Bulletproof Monk). Amongst the many other national and international film festival awards that STRIPPED DOWN has garnered, Elana’s acting was recognized with awards for New Emerging Talent, Solstice Film Festival; and Best Actress, Silver Lake Film Festival. AT RISK, a noir thriller that fragments time , deals with love and death in the time of AIDS. The film also stars VINCE VAUGHN (Wedding Crashers), RANDY TRAVIS (The Visitation), KIM MYERS (Nightmare On Elm Street, Part 2) and the late Broadway star, DANIEL McDONALD (The Ice Storm). Elana has also appeared in many independent art house films, most recently, AUDIE & THE WOLF, BOPPIN’ AT THE GLUE FACTORY and MAD COWGIRL. In 2000, Ms. Krausz founded VISUALINER STUDIOS, an 11,000 square foot production studio in Culver City, which was home to many films, music videos and commercials.
