Aussie Geek Podcast #054 :: Who Shot the Belgian? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 80:40

Welcome to another gripping Aussie Geek. Sorry this one is late guys. We recorded it a little while ago. Unfortunately Dave's hectic life went from mad to insane! But at least it is here now and no less worth listening to. Have fun and remember to drop us a comment or two or post a review in the iTunes Store, that would be most excellent.  Aussie Geek Podcast #49 :: Going Retro | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 92:17

Welcome to this 49th edition of the AGP. The content for this episode worked out in an interesting way. First up we found that there was a great mix of news this fortnight with bugger all from the big players, that felt like the good old days. We were also practically devoid of any mobile and tablet news and apps, for any platform. To top it off we had a glut of cool web sites and services. So we here at the geek went with the flow and decided it would be a retro edition of the show format with a concentration on great news and sites and services. We also had time to visit the Aussie iTunes reviews as promised. Welcome aboard, have fun this is the AGP going retro! PS: The blooper reel returns as Keith pushes out the show this week, so not even I will be safe :) Show Notes Welcome Knightwise goes to FACTS Dave's ute in the garage... sorta For those who've never seen it, here's an explanation of "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog" Tech News Kickstart project come to fruition Sleek "Smart" thermostat from an ex-Apple designer for some Green tech Apple's Newsstand no dud for publishers Google goofs on privacy, again New WiFi Repeater goes the distance Researchers build logic gates from poo bugs New sub-$200 tablet Oil Skimmer breaks records Windows XP makes it to 10 and remains somewhat functional Diversions Will it Blend? iPhone4S Siri the Bartender... it has to get better than this Applications Dual Monitor Taskbar: puts a functional taskbar on the second monitor and more LineIn: Fixes a long standing Apple issue especially for podcasters Adapter: File conversion - anything to anything (pretty much) TunnelBear: Simple, easy and semi-free proxy application Sites and Services YouTube Doubler: Play 2 videos at once... you may ask why and so did we Draw a Stickman: We loved it, nuf said. Welcome to the Aussie Geek for another go round the esky! Well we thought he might have been lost in the wilderness or something but nope! Turns out he was where we left him, yes Keith is back after his break. He's been busy being a family man and all that. Although I jest, being a Dad is serious business.  Aussie Geek Podcast #045 :: Yes Another We are Back Show! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 86:53

Yes we have been absent without a letter from the teacher. But we are here now! All is explained in this episode of the AGP. I should also apologize for not getting the show out a tad sooner as this show is obviously older than the post. Truth is that Dave has had the week from hell. The fridge broke down, the washing machine gave up for good and we dealt with a very sick dog. Unfortunately for our family we lost our dear pet Tess during emergency surgery. That just topped off a shit week. The family are all OK, even the kids but a pretty tough ride for everyone. That said, no more excuses, here is the show... Welcome to the AGP for another session. Notice I did not say week? This week Keith and Dave are in the hot seat and tackle the show. Knightwise is at the "seaside" whatever the heck that is, Keith and Dave had no idea and thought it might be Belgian for something. We are just hoping that he comes back rust free. That said we think the show was great and you should listen to it, because Keith and Dave did a great job and that's reason enough :) Don't forget the Lifestyle Podnetwork Friday Night Drinks!  Aussie Geek Podcast #041 :: Post Christmas Review | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 86:53

First up I need to make an apology. This episode sound quality is less than optimal, I was having a lot of trouble with bandwidth and the show suffered because of it. Basically I have been having issues for quite some time, the issue has been reviewed by the Telecommunications Ombudsman without any change. Although I can now say that my server has been allocated the title of "congested". Quite frankly "no shit". This issue is beyond my control and I am sorry we can't deliver the optimal sound quality that your are used to. I have done the best I can, all I ask is that you suffer graciously with the rest of us until the issue is resolved, which could take some time. But what I can say is welcome to 2011! In this episode we review some of the geeky goodness that we acquired over the Christmas break. Thanks for joining us in 2011, we are looking forward to a great year.
