"Outsourcing America’s Defense Industry" on Tim Danahey Show | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:00

Defense spending as a percentage of GDP is shrinking and American defense contractors are outsourcing their systems, research, and development. Even worse, the major defense contractors are cutting way back on capital investment and research. Criticize the defense as much as you want but their research has brought us things like the internet and GPS. Instead of investing in research, defense contractors are using their cash for dividends and stock buybacks. In 2014, they gave 102% of their record profits to increase returns to stockholders,. The military wants to “Buy American” but it’s getting harder. Globalists say the military’s thinking is old-fashioned and the military needs to embrace international sources for defense systems and research – including China. You’ll want to listen to manufacturing and technology expert, Richard McCormack present what many perceive as a growing danger to national security. Have the capitalists “sold the rope to our enemies with which they will hang us?”  We also cover other subjects during the hour including low wages, and Amazon. You’ll also be proud of a letter that three former SEC commissioners sent to the current Chairperson of the Security and Exchange Commission: the former commissioners says it’s time to force corporations to disclose campaign contributions. The Tim Danahey Show discusses economics, government, social issues, history, and non-fiction books in a magazine format featuring in-depth conversations with guests. Politics and inflammatory conversations are discouraged as they are divisive and counter-productive. Instead, the show seeks under-reported topics and delves into facts, different perspectives, and ramifications of each perspective. The show does not espouse a political agenda. Danahey’s strength is to take complex subjects, talk with experts and make them comprehensible and entertaining for average listeners.

"Bigotry, Islamaphobia, Media Lies and War" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:00:00

The bigotry and Islamaphobia that is spun by Mainstream Media and our elected officials continues to drive wedges in our communities and fuel the Military Industrial Complex.  The duplicity of decades of horrid foreign policy  has the Middle East upside down. Add the Israel propaganda machine and we have chaos.  Human rights' abuses are commonplace and bigotry is seen in this country every day. Mnar Muhawesh is Founder and Editor in Chief of MintPress News. Ms.Muhawesh is also a regular speaker on responsible journalism, sexism, neoconservatives within the media and journalism start-ups. Isa Hodge is a Muslim American activist fighting for the rights of all Americans and the preservation of the constitution.  He was the organizer of the Million American March Against Fear in D.C. on 9/11/2013. Isa was on Fox’s The Five, Sean Hannity, and Jennie Pierro show. Isa has had articles written about him in the Washington Post, US world News, and by Mark Harmon, White House Correspondent. Mnar and Isa shed light on the media lies and propaganda and discuss factually U.S. Foreign Policy, Israel, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Syria, Iran, Palestine and the Military Industrial Complex. So grab a cup of coffee and join us. Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo brings you "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee". On Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. Advocating engagement Bobby points out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. Money in Politics, the Political Party Machine, and partisan blind allegiance is on full display as he advocates against the erosion of Constitutional Protections in the name of corruption & tyranny. "If we focused on following the Constitution we would solve many of the ills of our society.”

Politics Done Right - Conversation w/ Patrick O’Heffernan, Chair of Netroots NF | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:00

It is that time again, our two year Presidential Election marathon. Britain can have their entire election in a few weeks. It takes us a few years. This election will be pivotal. As America becomes more progressive, districts have been gerrymandered in such a manner that the government does not reflect the governed. This election will be pivotal. Will Americans allow a conservative president in 2016? Americans better elect wisely. The next president will likely determine the direction of the Supreme Court, the body that has the power to further corrupt our body politic with their reinterpretation of the constitution.

Civility AND Reason: Lunch with Louden 6/4/15 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:42:00

“Civility without reason, or reason without civility, are disingenuous attempts to understand one another.” Call 301-259-1869 and share your thoughts on this statement. We might play your comment on Lunch with Louden! Background: Poll after poll tells us that Americans agree with one another more than they disagree. This appears to be true whether the topic is the toxic effects of money in politics, the over-reach of corporate persons, inequality within justice and law enforcement, or who should be allowed to vote. So why does the country feel so polarized? We have talked before about how word tricks are used to make us appear unlike one another: that polarization is the antidote to unity. Coffee Party USA has taken the position that civility and reason are the the keys to unlocking the linguistic doors between the many houses of American thought. But civility is often discounted as manners over substance, and reason is often discounted as “your” facts. IMHO civility and reason only become powerful when exercised together. Civility without reason and reason without civility are just more of “the same”: noise that passes for conversation and the verbal jousting that passes for attempts to understand one another. If the goal is to see where we do agree, where we can join to make change, then certainly the concept of civility AND reason are worth a try.   Follow Lunch with Louden and Coffee Party USA on Facebook.

4 Star General Ann Dunwoody Retired: A Conversation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:00

Ann Dunwoody became the U.S. Army’s first female four-star general. She commanded over 69,000 people and an annual budget of $60 billion. She was in charge of the the army’s total global supply chain. Her new book, “A Higher Standard”, talks about her years of service, her pride for the army, and her principles for leadership. She is a delightful person and this is a friendly conversation but she identifies serious problems in military procurement. She expresses the United States has a serious and growing national security problem because of our inadequate industrial base. She is also concerned about the waste in procurement and tracking army purchases. She had to step over command to bring modern tracking systems to the military. One of the first projects to tackle was the “iron mountain” – the term for 40,000 shipping containers in Iraq that the military didn’t even know what was inside. General Dunwoody also talks about the ethics crisis in the military where hubris and entitlement attitudes are affecting military integrity. She also talks about how the military could save money if Congress was less erratic, how one-year of public service for all eighteen to twenty-eight year old Americans would serve them well and serve the nation well, and how undeclared wars are difficult for our democracy and our military. The Tim Danahey Show discusses economics, government, social issues, history, and non-fiction books in a magazine format featuring in-depth conversations with guests.  "Education Destruction, A Continuing Saga" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:59:00

Our Public Education is under relentless attack.  In Wisconsin, Governor Scott Walker slashed the education budget in favor of privatization, standardized testing, and a basketball stadium. In New York, the Board of Regents appointed MaryEllen Elia as its Education Commissioner.  Elia, who was ran out of Florida, has long ties to Common Core and Standardized Testing.  The recent Opt-Out movement that was so large in New York essentially had its face slapped. Georgia and Wisconsin both are advocating for a workforce instead of education and a growing movement to certify teachers without requiring the formal education.  The two major political parties are behaving essentially the same. We are joined again by Marla Kilfoyle of Badass Teachers, http://www.badassteacher.org/ to discuss the many issues destroying our education system. Marla offers the educator and activist perspective. BAT's mission "to give voice to every teacher who refuses to be blamed for the failure of our society to erase poverty and inequality through education and refuse to accept assessments, tests and evaluations created and imposed by corporate driven entities that have contempt for authentic teaching and learning." So grab a cup of coffee and join us.  Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's show "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio airs Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. Advocating engagement Bobby points out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. I was slaughtered when the blog post was posted to the Join The Coffee Party Movement Facebook page. I want to discuss my perspective and hear yours. What do you think. Let's talk about it. What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag #PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter. Give me a call.

Politics Done Right - An interview with a reformed anti-Obamacare Republican | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:00

Last week during our fund drive I read the Blog of the Week which spoke about a man who supposedly blamed President Obama when he was unable to signup for Obamacare. He attempted to signup after the deadline. His story went viral in the blogosphere and in some newspapers. Mr. Lang told me that the media did not get the story completely straight. I invited him to Politics Done Right for two reasons. The first is to encourage those who have not signed up to do so at the next available enrollment period. Secondly to give Mr. Lang a platform to to explain why he left the Republican Party.

Encore: Memorial Day - Distinguishing War from Warriors | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:00

Lunch with Louden is a rebroadcast of our 2012 Memorial Day show. Guest Cheryl Hatch, international journalist/photo journalist with extensive work in war zones, and the daqughter of a career Army officer, disusses her insights about the cost of conflict. Ironiclly, in 2012 she had just returned from an embed in Afganastan, and this year has just returned from providing photo support for a story about American-built ebola treatment facilities in Liberia.  The banner for the earlier show: This week is a special Memorial Day conversation with journalist Cheryl Hatch, just back after an embed with an Army battalion in Afghanistan where she documented the lives of soldiers before, during, and after deployment. Her years of being in and out of war zones, plus a child hood of waiting for her father to come home from four tours in Viet Nam, have brought forth a body of work called THE COST OF CONFLICT. This insightful collection of images capturing what war leaves behind, combined with her reverence and respect for military personnel and their families, should help set the tone for a thoughtful and meaningful Memorial Day Holiday. LWL is one of many current Coffee Party Radio Network shows.  Mondays - shows like Coffee Party Book Club, Election Interviews, and other special broadcasts Thursday - Lunch with Louden with Jeanene Louden Saturday - Polictics Done Right with Egberto Willies Sunday - I Take Liberty with My Coffee with Bobby Rodrigo Daily - The Tim Danahey Show with Tim Danahey

Fascism From Mussolini to the Corporate State in America. Two Discussions | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:49:00

*The F-word is “fascism”. It’s tenets include supremacy of the military, the need for perpetual war and a disdain for pacifism, a merging of corporate and state power, dismantling the unions, indirect control of the media, national security and patriotism as a motivational tool for the masses, government corruption, candidates appointed by the party command, and an erosion of voter rights." Sound familiar? Media talks about capitalism, communism, socialism, libertarians, theocracies, and various systems in-between them. But the media never discusses fascism. Why?  I first discuss the history of Fascism with one of the world’s leading experts on Fascism, Donald Sassoon – a professor of Comparative European History at Queen Mary, University of London.  Then I am joined by two acclaimed talk show hosts, Egberto Willies of Politics Done Right and Bobby Rodrigo, of I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee as we dissect fascism tenet by tenet and examine them to see how they might apply to the United States.  Please listen to this important conversation and judge for yourself. Could fascism occur in the U.S.? If so, what are you going to do about it? The Tim Danahey Show discusses economics, government, social issues, history, and non-fiction books in a magazine format featuring in-depth conversations with guests.  Politics Done Right - What game is Obama playing with the TPP? Bargain or Ruse? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:00

Once again we will be discussing the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP). This is an important subject that is getting little media coverage. Is there something we are missing here? Why would an otherwise intelligent President negotiate a treaty that demonstrably hurts the middle-class? What do you think. Let's talk about it. What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag #PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter. Give me a call. You can also find previous episodes on YouTube here.  WHY A MARCH AGAINST MONSANTO: LUNCH WITH LOUDEN 5/14/15 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:33:00

Why a March Against Monsanto: Lunch with Louden 5/14/15 Monsanto is the poster child for INDUSTRIAL agriculture. Not alone in this mind set, Monsanto has shown us a corporate will to pursue profits on the world stage. Some say this is the future of food production, necessary to feed a hungry planet. Others say this is the end of our ability to produce our own food at home and around the world, the more sustainable of the two options.  I don’t have to go far to witness the controversy over Factory Farms and Industrial Ranchers. I have a ballot on my desk today that asks the question, “Should voters enact an ordinance prohibiting cultivation of genetically engineered organisms and creating rights relating to local food production?” This is a big enough issue to merit the national call for the March Against Monsanto on May 23rd. Will you participate?  Weigh in. This is America's conversation. Follow us on Facebook at Lunch with Louden and Join the Coffee Party Movement, on the web at CoffeePartyUSA.com Also Tim Danahey Show: Lentil Underground: Renegade Farmers and the Future of Food in America https://www.organicconsumers.org/campaigns/millions-against-monsanto http://www.march-against-monsanto.com/

Lentil Underground: Renegade Farmers and the Future of Food in America | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:37:00

The battle for economic justice and a sustainable planet isn’t just the domain of urban and suburban Americans. Farmers and ranchers are heeding the call to explore new ways of farming, removing pesticides and herbicides, fighting GMOs, and creating vibrant rural economies. They are producing healthy food and developing new outlets for their crops. Their efforts are courageous and they are making inroads despite the influence of multi-national corporate agricultural firms, a compliant government, industrial farming, and consolidated control of retail outlets. Listen to author Liz Carlisle talk about her new book “Lentil Underground: Renegade Farmers and the Future of Food in America” in which Montana farmers took matters into their own hands, avoided mono crops, replenished their soil, conserve water, refused chemicals, and made it work. They banded together, shared information, developed ideas, and prospered. They are leading the way in a food revolution that will affect us all..  "Medical Marijuana! We Take Your Children" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:50:00

Recent headlines about state children services' departments and police agencies removing children from homes where medical marijuana is being used has created a serious concern. Authorities have ignored the recent change in laws about marijuana and continued to separate families when they find out marijuana is being used in homes where children live. The Shona Banda case in Kansas is an example.  The laws governing how states behave in this matter and, how a person who has had their children taken away can fight to get their children back, is a huge legal gray area with lots of discretion by judges, the police, and the child services' workers.  Domestic Custody Attorney Alfred Chang joins us this morning and offers expert insight in to this very important issue in our community. What to do if your children are removed from your home due to the use of marijuana both medically and recreational? What are your rights? What is the standard of evidence? How does this problem tie to any criminal process? Grab a cup of coffee and join us for an update on important current events and our education update. Long time Activist, Radio Host, Journalist and Coffee Party Director Bobby Rodrigo's show "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM EDT. Advocating engagement, pointing out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. Bobby attacks Money in Politics & political party blind allegiance hoping to stop corruption & tyranny. Please join us Sunday Morning 8:30 AM EDT
