"Homan Square Facility & Media Coverage" on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:38:00

This past week the Guardian told about allegations of Police Brutality, off the books detainment of arrested persons and denial of attorneys to people in custody.  More allegations came out echoing the initial Guardian story.  Meanwhile the coverage of this important story by Mainstream Media was basically non existent.  Independent and Alternative Media outlets and activist organizations were mostly responsible for spreading the word.  A twitter storm this past Friday Evening followed by Protests this weekend helped shine the light on the facility and bring these important allegations to the attention of people everywhere.  The Fifth Column, and Anti Media were prominent in the continuing coverage of Homan Square and I will be interviewing The Fifth Column's Justin King along with journalist Alex Freeman, who covered the Homan Square Protest.Grab a cup of coffee and join us for an important discussion.  Long time Activist, Coffee Party Newsroom Editor & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's new show on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM.  Coffee Party Book Club "Reclaiming Civility in the Public Square" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:00

"Reclaiming Civility in the Public Square – 10 Rules That Work" is a user-friendly guide to how civility in the governing process is possible.  Each rule is illustrated with a true life story.  These stories not only demonstrate how the rule works, but also give evidence that while “civility in government” may sound like an oxymoron to some, there are examples to be found showing civility to be alive and well in the political sphere. Cassandra and Tomas are co-founders of the Institute for Civility in Government, a grassroots non-profit organization that works to bring more civility to the governing process in our communities and our nation.  With more than 15 years of experience in leading legislative conferences, Cassandra and Tomas know first-hand what it takes for citizens to be effectively engaged in the political process on Capitol Hill and beyond. They have addressed community groups, schools, churches and members of Congress, and have been interviewed on radio and television, including PBS, C-SPAN, NPR and CBC.  Both are ordained pastors in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and are actively serving a congregation. Both Cassandra and Tomas have mediation training

Walmart raising wages is proof popular activism works | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:00

So Walmart in its utter benevolence has decided to raise wages. Their CEO in a rather cult-like video announced all the great things Walmart will begin doing to enhance the growth of their employees. One wonders why now. We all really know why. That is what we will talk about today. Populism wins everytime it is used effectively. What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag#PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter. Give me a call.  Politics Done Right - We must have open dialogue on difficult issues | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:00

This week I stepped into it big time. I made the following post on the Coffee Party USA Facebook page. The reaction was mostly negative towards the post. I received threats by message and emails. What did I do wrong? I had the gall to call out Bill Maher using a nuanced and to some extent condescending tone to point how why his rigid stance on Muslims was neither correct or helpful. Since the person that killed the three students claimed he was an atheist I was trying to see if empathy would reign base on how some would attempt to vilify atheist for the act. The reaction was to make no attempt to understand that I was on the side of most that were slamming me with expectation that there would be some introspection. Anyway, this is what we will discuss on Politics Done Right today. What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag #PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter. Give me a call. David Hooks was asleep when armed deputies arrived at his house at 1184 Ga. 319 just before 11 p.m. Sept. 24. His wife, Teresa, heard a car drive fast up the driveway, and she looked out the window and saw several men all in black and camo with hoods on. She woke David and said, ‘The burglars are back.” Hooks retrieved a gun and headed out of the bedroom as the officers broke down the back door. They may have seen What happened next is in dispute. The Police found no drugs, acted on an invlaid warrant and David Hooks was dead.  Please join us. Long time Activist, Coffee Party Newsroom Editor & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's new show on "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM.  Employment Report, Regulations, and Party switching | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:00

This was a busy week. The economy is solidly rebounding. We had a great employment report. Another story peeked my interest. As someone who works out a lot who takes a lot of supplement I was flabbergasted by a report that I may simply be taking fillers. This is proof positive we need more regulations, not less. I also want to touch on Former Mississippi State Republicans Senator Tim Johnson switch from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party. His reasons sounded like he became a staunch Liberal. What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag #PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter. Give me a call.

The President has been on a tear lately. He is talking about what likely he would like his ultimate legacy to be, middle-class economics. What exactly is middle-class economics? Middle-class economics is rather simple. It is based on simple mathematics. It is based on fairness. It is based on creating a society where all have their basic needs met. It is about equal access to success. What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag#PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter. Give me a call.  Health Care for All: Lunch with Louden 1/29/15 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:56:00

Health care is a key issue for many Americans today. The Affordable Care Act has prompted debate. Some think it goes too far, and others think it does not go far enough: citizens across the nation are calling for health care for all.  In Oregon there is a movement afoot to move to universal health care. Led by Health Care for All-Oregon (HCAO), groups and citizen supporters "will descend on the Capitol steps in Salem on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to rally and call on state legislators to act, drawing their attention to the fact that far too many Oregonians still lack affordable health care." HCAO proposes a health care system that covers everyone living or working in Oregon-no exceptions-with no co-pays and no deductibles.  Our guests today will be Lee Mercer, President of Health Care for All - Oregon, and one of the "Mad as Hell Doctors". They will talk about the rally as well as the facts and philosophy behind their movement. Lunch with Louden is a part of Coffee Party Internet Radio Network. Follow us on Facebook.  Politics Done Right - Tim Danahey - Life on the Frontlines of American Diplomacy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:36:00

Politics Done Right With Egberto Willies is a political talk show on current events. While the show has a admittedly liberal bent, it seeks to engage citizens of all political ideologies to foment a healthy discourse. Join us on Saturdays from 12:00 Noon CST to 2:00 PM CST. Today's show will be from the Tim Danahey's show. Christopher R. Hill was selected by four Secretaries of State (Christopher, Albright, Rice, Clinton) to serve three Presidents (Clinton, Bush, Obama) in five assignments requiring U.S. Senate approval. He was an Ambassador to Macedonia during its confrontations with Greece, Poland as they broke from communism, Korea during negotiations to de-nuclearize North Korea, and Iraq as U.S. forces sought to end their occupation. Christopher Hill was one of the negotiators that brokered a complicated arrangement for Bosnia, Serbia, and Kosovo. Listen to his stories and his thoughts about how neoconservatives like Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz damage U.S. diplomacy around the world. Listen to his comments about the militarization of U.S. foreign policy. It is a conversation you will never forget.
