We start with football – PSG star Lionel Messi will lead Argentina to his fifth and probably last FIFA World Cup in Qatar next week. Messi has never lifted the coveted trophy, but experts tip Argentina over Brazil this tournament. And in boxing – UFC Middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya tipped the scales at 185lb on the button early in yesterday's UFC281 weigh-ins, but Alex Pereira made the weight just five minutes before the deadline after a grueling cut from heavyweight in August where he was 105.6kg - just under 233lb. In rugby union - our world famous tips for all the rugby this weekend – Tonga to paste Chile, Manu Samoa to ransack Georgia, the Flying Fijians to coconut pie Ireland in Dublin, Australia to calamazoo Italy, Japan to wiggle England at Twickenham, Argentina to Cheika Wales and France to samba South Africa. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 42 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this bright and  blue sky Friday morning 11 November 2022, coming to you from paradise  on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! In  rugby union – Tonga plays Chile somewhere in Europe this weekend while  Manu Samoa gets a chance to reset their autumn Tests campaign against  Georgia after Italy demolished them last weekend in Padua. Vern Cotter  and his Flying Fijians take on world number one, Ireland in Dublin. Ireland  has rung the changes for their clash with Fiji after a very impressive  19 – 16 win over the Springboks last weekend. Head Coach Andy Farrell  has given a number of fringe players much needed game time. In rugby league – Toa Samoa will be without Hooker Danny Levi for their semi-final against England in the Rugby League World Cup this Saturday at the Emirates Stadium. Levi has started all of Samoa’s four games in the tournament so far. West Tigers’ Fa’amanu Brown has been called in as a replacement. Australian  Kangaroos Head Coach, Mal Meninga says the Fiji Bati scare was good for  New Zealand: "It probably knocked their motivations back in place  around the tournament," he said. "Without being disrespectful, it's been  a fairly easy ride for most of the top teams, he added. In football – Cristiano  Ronaldo will play at his fifth FIFA World Cup after being named  in Portugal’s squad for Qatar. The Manchester United forward, now 37,  leads a star-studded group of forwards that includes Rafael Leao  and Joao Felix, as well as midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo  Silva. In boxing – UFC281:  Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira at Madison Square Garden, in New York  this Saturday exclusively on ESPN+ PPV. The co-main event sees  Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza (20-6) defending her title against  Zhang Weili (22-3), China’s first and only UFC Champion. The last time I was Strawweight I was just out of nappies! Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 41 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this bright and  breezy Thursday morning 10 November 2022, coming to you from paradise  on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! In rugby union – British  and Irish Lions prop, Tadhg Furlong will captain Ireland for Saturday’s  Dublin showdown at the Aviva Stadium against the Flying Fijians. The  Leinster star has 61 caps for Ireland, but not captained a side since  his days with Ireland U18s. “I have never even thought of it,” he lied. Meanwhile the RFU has confirmed that the investigation into former England Centre, Luther Burrell’s claims of racism has been completed. In response to Burrell's testimony, some fellow England players said that anyone who racially abused him should be outed. But  Burrell stands by his decision not to name and shame those involved  saying: "These guys rang me and said 'Why are you not naming them? "I  said 'Look, ultimately it hasn't happened to you, it's happened to me'.  These players have wives and children, they have lives. "I'm not going to point the finger at that person and ruin his life, on something that he's uneducated about.” In rugby league – Toa  Samoa has been given a boost ahead of their Rugby League World Cup  semi-final against England after they successfully challenged a  one-match ban on Captain Junior Paulo for raising his forearm against  Tongan forward David Fifita. Paulo has been cleared by a judicial panel. Toa Samoan players were in tears after their 20-18 defeat of Tonga, which  broke new ground as they became the first Samoan team to qualify for a  World Cup semi-final in rugby league or rugby union. Prop Royce Hunt  said, "We are not done yet. We still have a job to do.” In football – an  ambassador for the FIFA World Cup, former Qatari national team player,  Khalid Salman has told a German reporter that homosexuality is “damage  in the mind” in an interview with German public broadcaster ZDF just  over a week out from the opening of the tournament in the Gulf state. Germany’s interior minister condemned Salman’s remarks as terrible. Meanwhile,  EA Studios – makers of the “FIFA 2018” game, has simulated all 64  matches in “FIFA 23”, to be released soon and predicts that the FIFA  World Cup 2022 final in Qatar will be played between Brazil and  Argentina and will be won by Lionel Messi over PSG teammate Neymar’s  Brazil. In boxing – it turns out that Brazilian Knock Out King, Alex Periera has defeated Kiwi-Nigerian UFC superstar, Israel Adesanya twice already in their kick-boxing early days. So  is it going to be sweet revenge for Adesanya at UFC281 at Madison  Square Garden New York this Sunday, or the taste of bitter defeat again? Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 40 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this bright and  sunny Wednesday morning 09 November 2022, coming to you from paradise  on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! In  rugby union – the Flying Fijians should have had a warm up game before  playing Scotland last weekend. It is tough to go in cold against Tier  One Test nations and it showed in a couple of soft tries for the Scots  due to defensive lapses. Ireland up next, will be a big test for Vern Cotter and his boys. In rugby league – Toa  Samoa will appeal the one-match suspension handed out to their Captain  Junior Paulo, which means they will be without him for their Rugby  League World Cup semi-final against England at the Emirates Stadium this  weekend. Paulo was issued with a Grade A charge against Tonga. Rugby  League World Cup organisers say the UK domestic broadcast audience for  every game so far has totaled more than 18.7 million viewers on the BBC,  with last Saturday’s quarter-final between England and Papua New Guinea  peaking at 1.7 million. Great exposure for PNG. In  football - Neymar has named France, Argentina, Germany, England and  Belgium among his favourites for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar as he looks  to lead Brazil to glory. In  boxing – Kiwi-Nigerian UFC superstar, Israel Adesanya has vowed not to  "waste energy' in the build-up to his UFC title clash when the UFC  Middleweight Champion takes on Brazilian KO artist Alex Periera at UFC281 at Madison Square Garden New York this weekend. In  athletics - Kenyan Evans Chebet survived brutal heat and humidity to  win the New York City Marathon on Sunday after Brazilian Daniel Do  Nascimento collapsed during the race. The  Brazilian set an aggressive pace and had a two-minute lead at the  halfway mark but collapsed after mile 20, stunning onlookers. In a surprise move, New York City Police officers assisted him instead of drawing their guns! Chebet,  who also won the Boston Marathon earlier this year, accelerated around  mile 15 in a final surge to cross the finish line in two hours eight  minutes and 41 seconds. Ethiopian Shura Kitata finished second in 2:08:54 and Dutchman Abdi Nageeye took third. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 39 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this bright and  sunny Tuesday morning 08 November 2022, coming to you from paradise on  the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! In rugby union and rugby league – WHAT  A WEEK for Michael Cheika - after leading Lebanon to a Rugby League  World Cup quarterfinal, a few days later he piloted Argentina to an  upset win in the rugby union test against England at Twickenham. I wonder how Cheika would go coaching netball? The  Manu Samoa players and management apologized to all their fans after  Italy thrashed them 49-17 in Padua City Northern Italy over the weekend,  BUT it really didn’t matter after Toa Samoa beat arch rivals Mate Ma’a  Tonga in their Rugby League World Cup quarterfinal. In  football – Unai Emery enjoyed a dream start to life in the  Aston Villa dugout as they destroyed Manchester United 1-3 at home  yesterday. Brought in as Steven Gerrard’s successor, former Arsenal boss  Emery masterminded his new Club’s first EPL win against the Red Devils  at Villa Park since August 1995. In boxing – at  48 years old now, Kiwi-Samoan Mark Hunt has been fighting for 31 years  and as he put it, he “can whack and can take a shot with the best of  them”. So  with his eye on a big cash fight with Youtuber fake boxer, Jake Paul,  did Sonny Bill Williams pick the wrong guy as a stepping stone? Meanwhile grumpy Paul Gallen is still waiting. In US College gridiron – for  a conference whose very existence was in question just a year ago  when Texas and Oklahoma announced they were leaving for the SEC - the  Big 12 is finalizing a new six-year media rights package with ESPN and  FOX from 2025 worth US$2.3Billion, nearly US$1B up on the current deal. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 38 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this balmy  Monday morning 07 November 2022, coming to you from paradise on the  180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! In rugby union – Australia  beat Fiji in a cracker upset to win their first Hong Kong 7s title in  34 years, while for the double Olympic and reigning world champions, it  was their first loss in the Mother of all rugby 7s tournaments in over  five years. France won third place beating Samoa. And  then there were two: defending champions and hosts the New Zealand  Black Ferns will play England, who are on a wild winning streak of some  35-odd games, in the Women's Rugby World Cup final at Eden Park next  Saturday. France will play Canada for bronze. Dashing  Wing, Emiliano Boffelli scored 25 points as Argentina beat England  30-29 to claim their first win at Twickenham since 2006 and end a  10-game losing streak against the team they face in their opening game  at the Rugby World Cup 2023. In rugby league – BREAKING NEWS: Toa Samoa has just beaten Mate Ma’a Tonga 18-20 in a gripping  Rugby League World Cup quarterfinal in front of a spellbound crowd of  12,674 in Warrington to set up their first semifinal – a re-match with  England in London next Saturday. Australia play New Zealand. In  football – a 63rd-minute toe-poke on the goal line by Brazilian  defender Gabriel is all it took to earn Arsenal a 1-0 victory over  Chelsea at Stamford Bridge overnight and lift them back to the top of  the English Premier League. Meanwhile, Unai Emery enjoyed a dream start to life in the Aston Villa dugout as they walloped Man U 1-3. Brought  in as Steven Gerrard’s successor, former Arsenal boss Emery  masterminded Villa’s first Premier League win against the Red Devils  at Villa Park since August 1995. In  boxing – undefeated Dmitry Bivol put on a boxing clinic to defend his  WBA Light-heavyweight World title and claim a unanimous decision for win  22 against a game but over-matched Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez who was  unbeaten after 44 fights until last night. Bivol was back in the ring for his first fight since defeating pound-for-pound king Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. In cricket – Sri Lankan Twenty20 cricket star, Danushka Gunathilaka, currently in Australia for the ICC T20 World Cup is today behind bars, facing charges that he allegedly raped a Sydney woman four times in a two-hour period after the pair met on Tinder. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 37 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on a slightly  overcast Sunday morning 06 November 2022, coming to you from paradise on  the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! In rugby union – the  Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong 7s Quarter-finals from 3.25pm today:  Samoa vs Argentina, Fiji vs South Africa, Ireland vs Australia and  France vs USA. Double  Olympic champions Fiji is aiming for a sixth straight title in Hong  Kong with wins over Japan 59-12, Spain 35-21 and the USA 24-0. Samoa was simply outstanding in Hong Kong with wins over New Zealand 24-0, Australia 22-17 and Hong Kong 31-15 to top a tough Pool A. The All Blacks 7s losses to Samoa and Australia in pool play see them miss out on a place in the Hong Kong 7s Cup quarter-finals for the first time in history and they will now contest the ninth to 16th placed classification games today. Jordie  Barrett, Aaron Smith and Codie Taylor all scored two tries each for the  All Blacks 55-23 Wales in their Test at the Principality Stadium in  Cardiff this morning. The outstanding Ardie Savea and replacement hooker  Samisoni Taukei'aho got the others. Also this morning, Scotland 28-15 Fiji. England  booked their place in the Women's Rugby World Cup final with a  nail-biting 26-19 win over Canada at Eden Park yesterday. They will face  defending champions New Zealand in the final next Saturday after they  stole a 25-24 thriller from France. In rugby league – the  NZ Kiwis have just stolen the win against the Fiji Bati at the RLWC  quarter final 24-18 after Fiji led until the 70th minute. It is the end  of the road for Fiji Bati warriors Korbin Sims and Kevin Naiqama who  were outstanding alongside big forwards – Joe Kamikamica, Dan Sadrugu,  Bill Kikau and Sunia Turuva at fullback. The  Papua New Guinea Kumuls magical run at this Rugby League World Cup has  come to an end after they suffered a 46-6 loss in the quarter-finals  early this morning to tournament hosts England at the DW Stadium in  Wigan this morning. In boxing – rugby legend Sonny Bill Williams suffered a stunning fourth round knockout loss - the first defeat of his professional boxing career, at the hands of former UFC fighter, Mark Hunt in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Aware Super Theatre in Sydney. Only in the USA – despite longtime WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon retiring following multiple  allegations of sexual harassment, infidelity and millions of dollars  paid out in hush-money settlements, WWE still posted a record US$305Million in  revenue in Quarter 3 2022, a 19% increase on last year – most of that  surplus was from broadcast fees paid by big media companies, like  nothing happened. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 36 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on another  beautiful blue sky Saturday morning 05 November 2022, coming to you from  paradise on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! In rugby union – scores from the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong 7s last night: Samoa thrashed the All  Blacks 7s 24 nil, France 34 nil not so Great Britain, Ireland 28-12  Kenya, Argentina 36 nil Canada and Fiji walloped Japan 12-59. Games start today at 3pm with Fiji vs Spain at 4.15pm and Samoa vs Australia at 6pm. Also  on tomorrow morning in the World Rugby Euro Autumn Internationals: at  midnight Fiji time Scotland vs Fiji, 1am Italy vs Samoa, 3am Wales vs  New Zealand, 5.30am Ireland vs South Africa and 8am France vs Australia. In rugby league – rising  Papua New Guinea Kumuls star, flier Jimmy Ngutlik is keen on moving to  play in the UK after his dazzling performance in their win over Wales.  Hopefully against England in the last eight, the 22-year-old will be  able to prove himself against some of the best in the world. Mate  Ma‘a Tonga Head Coach, Kristian Woolf says they’re just getting started  as they face Toa Samoa in the big clash of the Rugby League World Cup  Quarterfinals this weekend. A  win there will likely pit them against England, a country which he has  conquered domestically for three successive years with St Helens. In  football – FIFA has urged all 32 teams preparing for the World Cup to  focus on the game, avoid handing out lessons in morality and “let  football take center stage.” Qatar  as FIFA World Cup host is facing scrutiny for its treatment of low-paid  migrant workers needed to build projects costing tens of billions of  dollars and its laws criminalizing same-sex relationships. Eight  European teams have committed to their captains wearing heart-shaped  armbands — in breach of FIFA rules — to support an anti-discrimination  campaign. Australian players took part in a video airing concerns about Qatar's human rights record. Several  coaches and federations, including the United States, have backed calls  to create a compensation fund for migrant workers’ families. Denmark's squad is taking a black team jersey as a sign of “mourning” for those who died in Qatar. I actually agree with FIFA for a change – just focus on football girls! Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 35 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this beautiful  blue sky Friday morning 04 November 2022, coming to you from paradise on  the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean!  In rugby union – finally,  the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong 7s returns tonight: 8.28pm USA vs  Spain, 8.52pm Fiji vs Japan, 9.37pm France vs Great Britain, 10.05pm  South Africa vs Uruguay 10.35pm New Zealand vs Samoa and 11.03pm  Australia vs Hong Kong. The big games start again at 3pm tomorrow. In rugby league – watch  out for the Papua New Guinea Kumuls stars - Nixon Putt, human wrecking  ball - Sylvester Namo, Kyle Laybutt, Rodrick Tai and the flying McKenzie  Yei to all shine in their Rugby League World Cup quarter final against  England in Wigan on Sunday at 2.30am Fiji time. The  Rugby League World Cup QF1 tomorrow at 7.30am Fiji time Australia vs  Lebanon at John Smith's Stadium Huddersfield, QF2 Sunday at 2.30am  England vs Papua New Guinea in Wigan, QF3 at 7.30am New Zealand vs Fiji in Hull and QF4 Monday Tonga vs Samoa at 2.30am in Warrington. In athletics – the great Wilson Kiprugut, Kenya's first Olympic medalist, has died at the age of 84 after a long illness. Kiprugut  won a bronze medal in the 800M at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo and  followed that up with a silver over the same distance in Mexico City  four years later. "Being  the first Kenyan to win a medal in Olympic Games, and the race being  800M, is really a great inspiration. The 800M has been a race for the  Kenyans because of Wilson Kiprugut. He made our country proud," double  Olympic and current World 800M Champion David Rudisha told BBC Sport  Africa. Only in the USA – sports betting is exploding across the US. So far this year to September, total sports betting in the US has reached US$62Billion, up from US$58B in 2021 and killing 2020’s total of US$22B. Imagine the impact of the upcoming FIFA World Cup where the U.S. is pooled with Wales, England, and Iran. In boxing – all the fakery is catching up with Youtube wannabe boxer, Jake Paul. Given  his social media reach is over 30 million followers, selling just two  hundred thousand buys for his last fight vs grandpa Anderson Silva is a  shocking return. And that’s by his fake counting! Insiders say pay-per-view sales were less than 100,000 buys. Jake Paul’s fake boxing career is on a slow burn to zero. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 34 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this beautiful  blue sky Thursday morning 03 November 2022, coming to you from paradise  on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean!  In rugby union – our  world famous tips for the Women’s Rugby World Cup semifinals on  Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand where we tip Canada to  blueberry muffin England with fresh cream and the Black Ferns to mango  cheesecake France in their game. Wanna bet? In rugby league – our  world famous tips for the Rugby League World Cup quarter finals  starting on Friday: Australia to chop suey Lebanon Cedars, the Fiji Bati  to chow mien the New Zealand Kiwis, the Papua New Guinea Kumuls to  wonton England and Mate Ma’a Tonga to sweet and sour Toa Samoa. In cricket – BREAKING NEWS totally out of left field: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced equal pay for India’s Men’s and Women’s national cricket teams. The pay for members of both teams will be $18,229 per Test match, $7,292 for one-day internationals, and $3,646 for a Twenty20 international game. In  boxing – WBO, WBA and IBF World Heavyweight Champion, Oleksandr Usyk  wants to fight WBC World Heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury in Ukraine  before the beginning of March 2023, because he fasts for 40 days during  Lent, leading up to Easter in April. The Gypsy King, also a Catholic,  has not reacted yet. Hail Mary, alleluia and Amen is all I can say! Finally, some listeners to my podcast expressed alarm at this news from yesterday: LGBT soccer fan groups are boycotting the FIFA World Cup in Qatar due to Qatar’s treatment of the LGBT community. Some UK LGBT groups are urging their supporters “not to watch the FIFA World Cup on TV, as a statement of principle.” And  I said, that’s a fair warning because homosexuality is illegal in Qatar  — and if prosecuted, Muslims could face the death penalty. You know, how they cut off your hand if you steal? All I’m saying is be careful and don’t mess with the strict laws and beliefs of these Arab countries. In  rugby union – All Blacks lock Brodie Retalick has been suspended for  two games for his dangerous cleanout at a ruck against Japan in Tokyo,  meanwhile Captain Sam “always injured” Cane has gone home after  fracturing his cheekbone in the same Test. Also  on the plane home with him – injured while pulling on his underwear, is  someone who should not have been there in the first place, Dane  pensioner Cole. In  boxing – former heavyweight boxer Goran Gogic with 21 wins from 27  fights was charged by the U.S. Department of Justice on Monday with  trafficking 22 tons of cocaine worth US$1Billion. The  43-year-old Montenegrin was arrested on Sunday night at Miami  International Airport while trying to board a flight to Zurich,  Switzerland. His lawyer said his arrest came as a surprise as he maintains his innocence. In football – the BIG question is do we watch or not? LGBT soccer fan groups are boycotting the FIFA World Cup in Qatar starting on the 20th November due to Qatar’s treatment of the LGBT community. Qatar anticipates around 1.2 million foreign visitors to attend the world cup. Last week, fans were warned by U.K. Foreign Secretary James Cleverly to “respect” Qatar laws. So some UK LGBT groups are urging their supporters “not to watch the FIFA World Cup on TV, as a statement of principle.” That’s a fair warning because homosexuality is illegal in Qatar — and if prosecuted, Muslims could face the death penalty. You know, how they cut off your hand if you steal? CHOP Aaargh!!! Best of luck  and remember to bet responsibly! In other words – don’t bet after you have drunk too much beer, champagne or kava or all three! And  the only other sports news worthy of reporting today - Toa Samoa will  face Mate Ma’a Tonga in the quarterfinals of the Rugby League World Cup  after they trashed France 4-62 yesterday morning, with Panthers flyer,  Taylan May scoring a hat-trick in the first half and another try in the  second, equaling the most tries in a game for Samoa. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 31 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this cloudy  Monday morning 31 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on the 180th  meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! In rugby – New  Zealand, France, Canada and England are the last teams still standing  after the first ever Quarterfinals at a Women's Rugby World Cup. France  is the only team never to have made it to a final. England crushed  Australia 5-41 and Canada trumped USA 11-32 in their respective  Quarterfinals yesterday. At the Rugby League World Cup – Mate  Ma’a Tonga savaged the Cook Islands 10-92 yesterday with Tesi Niu  scoring a hat-trick and Will Penisini four tries on a dominant  afternoon, while Jason Taumalolo, Tui Lolohea and Daniel Tupou helped  themselves to two tries each. Now Samoa or France await Tonga. BREAKING  NEWS: Papua New Guinea is through to the Rugby League World Cup  quarterfinals regardless of their result against Wales tomorrow after Mate Ma’a Tonga buried the Cook Islands to wrap up top spot, which means the Kumuls fly through to the quarterfinals. And Lebanon rastafaried the Reggae Dancing Queens from Jamaica 12-74 in their last game at the RLWC, so adios Jamaica! Not  bad for such a small country which really only plays cricket and  netball. How they got into this RLWC and the Rugby 7s World Cup in South  Africa recently is a mystery. What’s next the winter Olympics – sorry forgot Jamaica already done that! In football – the old lady of Italian football, Juventus, which is publicly traded, is in deep financial trouble. The Club, which was valued at US$2.5Billion in May by Forbes, ninth among all soccer teams globally and first among Italian Clubs, has lost money each of the last five years, including a US$253Million loss in the last fiscal year, which saw its stock fall 17.6% recently to a market cap of only US$725M. In  boxing – Youtuber and fake boxer, Jake Paul got the biggest win of his  career yesterday, knocking down Anderson Silva in the final round of  their fight – Round 8 for a unanimous points win. What  most people don’t know is that Father Time finally caught up to the  Brazilian UFC legend – he is 47 years old and it showed. Silva’s  output was way too low as he just waited for long stretches, giving up  rounds even though he had the advantage in many areas. Jake Paul needs to pick on a real boxer and someone his own age! Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 30 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this truly  stunning Sunday morning 30 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on  the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! In  rugby – the former-invincible All Blacks barely beat Japan in Tokyo  yesterday 38-31. They scraped through with their tails between their  legs and they know it. Sure  it was not their best team, BUT the All Blacks is the All Blacks 24  seven and you can bet their fans and the Kiwi media will let them know. Meanwhile, at the Women’s Rugby World Cup quarterfinals in New Zealand, soon to be  Aotearoa, France plonked Italy 3-39 and Wales tried but cried losing to  the Black Ferns 55-3. England play Australia and Canada versus USA at The Trusts Arena in Auckland today. At the Rugby League World Cup – the Fiji  Bati smashed Scotland 14-30 with all their big guns scoring – first was  Taniela Sadrugu, then Viliame Kikau, followed by Henry Raiwalui, flying  Wing, Maika Sivo and finally Korbin Sims crashing over for their RLWC  semifinal spot. In other games today: the New Zealand Kiwis zapped Ireland 10-48 and Australia delivered Italy one BIG family pizza 66-6. One more Group C game to play - Lebanon versus the Reggae Dancing Queens from Jamaica before they go home tank goodness. In  boxing – after eight years and 168 games for the Sydney Roosters,  including consecutive NRL titles in 2018-2019, Mate Ma’a Tonga star  Siosiua Taukeiaho, who is headed to French Club Catalans in 2023 is set  to make a shock heavyweight boxing debut before Christmas aged 30. In  football – Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe all scored as Paris  Saint-Germain beat Troyes 4-3 in the French league on Saturday. Carlos  Soler was the other scorer at the Parc des Princes for PSG, which has a  five-point lead over Lens. In another game yesterday, Marseille came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Strasbourg. Malo and welcome to Season 3 Episode 29 of Breakfast Bites, by TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this bright but cloudy Saturday morning 29 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! In rugby – rain heavy at times, will affect the Women’s Rugby World Cup quarterfinals in Whangarei today with France taking on Italy and Wales playing the Black Ferns at Semenoff Stadium, before England play Australia and Canada versus USA at The Trusts Arena in Auckland on Sunday. At the Rugby League World Cup – Group B remaining games on Sunday: Fiji versus Scotland followed by Australia versus Italy. Australia is in command so the Fiji Bati (+22 differential) and Italy (-32 diff)) will fight it out for second place in the group in the final match, while Scotland is hopeless and winless. Group C remaining games: New Zealand versus Ireland tonight and Lebanon versus Jamaica tomorrow. Assuming New Zealand win they will top the group and Lebanon will go through if they beat the Reggae Dancing Queens. Jamaica is winless having conceded more points than any team at the RLWC. In boxing – British drug cheat boxer, Conor Benn insists he is not a drug cheat despite testing positive twice for the banned substance Clomifene ahead of his fight against Chris Eubank Jr which was canned. Benn says the failed drugs tests are the result of contamination of eggs, as he was eating "between 30 and 34 eggs a week" while training for the fight. But get this, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs say Clomifene is not permitted for use on animals in the UK. So I guess the big question is – where did Benn import his eggs from – Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan? In football – Qatar’s new stadiums have cost in the range of US$6.5Billion–$10B, while a metro system that serves five of eight venues cost another $36B. Overall the FIFA World Cup is expected to cost US$220B, with Qatar anticipating US$17B in economic impact from the tournament. In the NFL – Gisele Bündchen has filed for divorce from Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and is now speaking out about it. The 42-year-old Brazilian, once the most gorgeous model in the world posted on Instagram that she and Brady decided to call things off after 13 years of marriage: "With much gratitude, for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children who I love with all my heart. The decision to end a marriage is never easy, but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always." Brady meanwhile is having the worst start to an NFL season ever, with some fans calling for him to retire again! I mean what would you do – hang out with 30 other guys in a team or Gisele?
