Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 47 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this absolutely  stunning Wednesday morning 16 November 2022, coming to you from  paradise on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! In the Rugby League World Cup - Toa  Samoa fans have launched a campaign to get “Black Adam” – that’s  right, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson behind Samoa for their historic Rugby  League World Cup final against Australia this weekend. Samoa is the first ever tier-two nation to qualify for a Rugby League World Cup final. Go Samoa Go . In  rugby union - BIG Fiji-born England Wing, Joe Cokanasiga has been ruled  out of the All Blacks versus England Test at Twickenham because of an  ankle problem. Cokanasiga  was a late call-up for the 52-13 win over Japan, but the giant Bath  back has now been added to the injury list himself. Meanwhile,  top French Referee Mathieu Raynal – at the centre of the Bledisloe Cup  time-wasting furore two months ago – has been whistled up as a late  replacement to officiate the All Blacks vs England Test on Sunday after  Australian Ref, Nic Berry had to go home for personal reasons. In football – the San Francisco 49ers is set to buy out English Premier League Club Leeds United, valued at US$558Million. Leeds was bought by Andrea Radrizzani for US$52M in 2017 while in the second-tier EFL Championship league. They won promotion to the EPL for the 2020-21 season and BOOM all of a sudden they are worth ten times more – go figure. In  Qatar – Spain Head Coach, Luis Enrique will be live streaming to  interact with fans “without filters” in a way that is more “spontaneous  and natural” between games at the FIFA World Cup. “Streamers of the  world, move over. I’m going downhill without breaks,” he said on a video  posted on his Twitter account. Me thinks Senior Enrique will regret this somehow. In boxing – have you ever wondered what losers say to winners in the ring after their fight? “It’s okay. I don’t like you, you don’t like me but respect,” that’s exactly what dethroned UFC Middleweight champ Israel Adesanya  said to Alex Pereira of Brazil after he punched and kicked the  Kiwi-Nigerian’s lights out and snatched his title. So now what – a rematch? Only in the USA – following  last Sunday’s boisterous capacity crowd of 69,811 at Munich’s Allianz  Arena for the Bucs’ 21-16 win over the Seahawks, it’s easy to see why  the NFL wants to expand into Europe. The NFL will play “at least” four games in Germany through 2025, but don’t be surprised if it expanded beyond that at some point soon. Germany and Britain have 3.3 million “avid fans” according to the NFL, which aims to grow its international business to US$1Billion annually, with multiple NFL franchises in Europe as a division. Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 46 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this  brilliantly bright Tuesday morning 15 November 2022, coming to you from  paradise on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! AND  THEN there were two – Australia versus Samoa in the Rugby League World  Cup final. Who would have predicted a pacific island country with a  population on-island and overseas of 200,000 people if that, would be  dancing with the big boys at the end of the night? This  year it is the turn of Toa Samoa to shine in the spotlight of the Rugby  League World Cup final. Next time around it could just as easily be  Mate Ma’a Tonga, the Fijian Bati or the Papua New Guinea Kumuls fighting  it out against England, New Zealand or Australia in the finals. The tide is changing. Go Samoa Go! In  football – in an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan on ESPN,  Cristiano Ronaldo has criticized Manager Erik ten Hag saying: “I don’t  have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you  don’t have respect for me, I’m never going to have respect for you.” Ronaldo also claimed Man U has not progressed since the departure of Alex Ferguson in 2013. Finally  - just days before the 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar,  organizers are scrambling to move Budweiser beer stations to obscure locations,  following demands from the country’s royal family — who are concerned  now that high profile alcohol stations could unsettle the local  population. Budweiser, the FIFA World Cup’s exclusive beer sponsor pays US$75Million for their FIFA World Cup presence every four years. Cheers buddy! Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 45 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this bright but  slightly overcast Monday morning 14 November 2022, coming to you from  paradise on the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! We start with boxing – in only his 8th UFC fight, Brazilian Knockout King Alex Pereira claimed the UFC Middleweight title with a fifth-round TKO win over Kiwi-Nigerian superstar, Israel Adesanya. In the co-headliner at the Garden, New York city on Sunday, Zhang Weili begin her second reign as Women’s UFC Strawweight Champion when she submitted Carla Esparza with a choke in the 2nd round. In rugby union – Scotland  scored 23 unanswered points having trailed 14-0, but the All Blacks  scored two late tries against 14 men for a 31-23 win at Murrayfield  overnight. "We're disappointed we didn't see it through. That's the best  opportunity we've had to beat them," Scotland Coach Gregor Townsend said. In  football – PSG superstars, Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe came  through their final game before the FIFA World Cup unscathed, with  Mbappe scoring in their 5-0 trashing of Auxerre at home yesterday. Messi  and Neymar came off with about 15 minutes left but Mbappe played the  full game. In rugby league – Stephen  Crichton’s match-winning drop goal in Golden Point extra-time for Toa  Samoa to eliminate England from the RLWC final was a career first - as  he is banned from even attempting them with Penrith. “I was zero from  four in the NRL! Hopefully I get my licence back!” “I’ve  never hit one before. I thought I hit it short,” Stephen Crichton said  of his match-winning 84th-minute drop goal. This certainly won’t be his  last. Go Samoa Go! Only in the USA – the Mother of all cryptocurrency  platforms - FTX, valued at US$32Billion in January, has gone bankrupt  in a puff of bulldust - with serious impact on its sports sponsorships  including: the Mercedes F1 racing team, MLB, the Golden State Warriors, Tom Brady and Steph Curry. We  start with football – Ivan Toney put the Bees ahead in Saturday's early  EPL game before Phil Foden pulled City back level on the cusp of  half-time. But despite their spells of possession, Brentford burst  forward in injury time for Toney to win it at the death for Brentford  2-1 Man City. In boxing – counting  down to UFC281 from Madison Square Garden in New York city where in the  main card we tip UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya to pasta  Alex Pereira, Zhang Weili to avocado Carla Esparza, Dustin Poirier to  Kit Kat Michael Chandler and Chris Gutierrez to crypto Frankie Edgar.
