[HINDI] What is Hope and What is Its Power? (उम्मीद क्या है?) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 952

Hope What is the strength of hope. Hope is that pillar which holds up entire world. We shall contemplate how strong is this hope within us. We shall understand what exactly is hope? Hope is biggest support of time. With hope every tide becomes a shore. Let’s us understand what miracles take place when we invoke hope within us. Let’s start with an example: One day a person bought a house. There were trees in the front yard of this house. The old owner showed entire house to the new owner. In the front yard there was a half cut tree without leaves and it seemed like it was burned. The new buyer asked what is this? The old owner told him that one day this house had got on fire. At that time all trees had caught fire. Later we removed all these trees and planted new trees. This is the only one tree left of that time. When new owners started living in that house, he started to water all these trees. When he looked at that burned tree, a thought came in his mind and he started giving little water to that tree also. It started to grow and one day it once again became a huge tree. Then this new house owner gave a name to this tree – ‘Hope’. After that whenever people used to come to visit his house, he used to show them the full house and finally ask them would they like to meet ‘Hope’? How a little hope in his mind worked and the result was in front of them.

 हनुमान से क्या माँगें और सीखें What can we learn from Hanuman | (by Sirshree) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 828

[Hindi] Journey of meditation - Knowing what to do in meditation | ध्यान यात्रा (by Sirshree) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2195

Do you ever wonder what meditation is and why you need to meditate? Usually when we think of meditation, we think of closing eyes and focusing on breath. Meditation incorrectly implies only focus and concentration on breath. But have you really thought about why you need to close your eyes? What is the point of meditation? What meditation really is? When asked to sit still and do nothing, most people would find this ‘doing nothing’ very challenging. Everything that happens in the world cannot happen without mind’s help. The question is how aware are we when things are happening. Increasing the level of awareness, leading one all the way to source of awareness is meditation. This is where the mind is completely still. It is an experience of pure presence with no thoughts, therefore, no labels, no judgement, no anticipation, no stress, no anxiety, no fear, just pure sense of being. This is a state of self-realization, that can certainly be experienced with meditation. During meditation, we close our physical eyes to be able to open our inner eyes. We close our eyes in sleep to refresh and recharge our body-mind-mechanism. We close our eyes in meditation to open our inner eyes and learn the art of seeing the true self. When you don’t have the right understanding about meditation, you may get lost in thoughts. You might spend several minutes meditating with closed eyes, but do not get value out of it because you don’t know what to do, what to see in meditation. Meditation is knowing the one that sees the darkness when you close your eyes. With closed eyes, you might see bright or colorful lights as well, but the one that sees all lights with closed eyes is unaffected by the colors of light. In this meditation, you will go through a profound journey of self-realization by understanding following questions and more: 1. What is true meditation? 2. Why do we really close our eyes during meditation? 3. Who we really are? Are we body, mind or something else? 4. What is our true being? 5. How you can reflect in your daily life to make sure your meditation practices are helping you beyond the time of meditation? 6. How to be mindful of your choices and understand what kind of thoughts are these choices are really coming from? Meditation means experiencing the sense of being. Meditation is a path for self-realization and experiencing the final truth. This meditation is a tool to quieten the mind and understand the existential truth. The benefits of meditations are usually described as anxiety relief, stress reduction, calm. All these benefits can certainly be experienced, but the greater and true benefit of meditation is manifestation of our true being and expression of creativity in presence of Love, Inner silence and Happiness. When people realize the true reason, and experience the benefits of meditation, they can sit for at least 2 minutes every day and learn to reflect on their daily lives. This video helps us understand importance of meditation in experiencing the final truth. It helps us understand why it is important to drop the mind in meditation in order to achieve self-realization. In our daily lives, we forget to remember our true being. In meditation, as we drop the mind, we experience what we really are. People take years to understand their truth and sometimes do not even hear about self-stabilization. If they don’t know the essential reason behind meditation, then other than physical benefits, there will not be much that will be attained even after years of practice. In order to experience true benefits, it is essential to learn more about self-realization and grow our readiness to acquire more experience about existential wisdom. It is essential to spend time in practicing meditation to achieve stabilization. This video explains in detail the path to self-stabilization starting from practice of meditation and beyond. In this video, the enlightened master, Sirshree further explains the difference between personal and impersonal thoughts and how to recognize if we are truly present in the moment or not. Among many, one of the key insights is when you experience your sense of presence, become aware of your awareness, you realize you are not the body or the mind. You realize the experience of the sense of presence is not on the body, nor is it in the body, but it is because of the body.

[Hindi] Celebrating Hanuman Jayanti by Understanding Leadership Through Service and Devotion | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 975

How to live a life of service and devotion. Let us focus and contemplate on the qualities of Hanuman, imbibing them in the process. Hanuman was given the title 'Messenger of Ram'. What greater post can exist!? Two kinds of qualities come through - spiritual and worldly. Among the wordly qualities that foremost was - he was a Leader-gum. Meaning, one who can glue leaders together. Ram is bound to have Leaders for company - Laxman, Sugreev, Vibheeshan who is going to the future king of Lanka. He had the knack of communicating with each as per their personality. The goal was a high one - vanquishing Ravan. A big army is needed with a several leaders and a person who could tie them to-gether. His service was invisible being 'Pavan-putra' (son of the wind). Even then, if Hanuman is removed, the army doesn't look capable of fighting the might army of Ravan. He was very flexible. To illustrate this, there are stories of how he expanded or shrunk his form - to adjust to situations. While flying over the ocean the demon Sursa said, "The gods have sent me a meal today. Come into my mouth." To which Hanuman tried to make her understand, "I am on Ram's errand. I will become your meal on my return." But she was adamant, "You have to come into my mouth atleast once." So Hanuman began to expand his form. Sursa too opened her mouth wider and wider. Hanuman suddenly shrunk to a tiny form and flew in and out of wide open mouth. So the gods too were not displeased. Hanuman was shrewd. A driver needs to be smart and shrewd. Hanuman carries both, Ram and Laxman on his shoulders. So he has to be smart to keep his riders safe. Hanuman brought Ram to meet Sugreev setting an example on protocols to be followed in getting two leaders to meet. On one side was Lord Ram whose work had to get done and on the other side was Sugreev who was the king and his ego had to be managed. He had the quality of taking responsibility and bringing it to its conclusion. Demons like Sursa will come and it is easy to give excuses. But his commitment never wavered from the desired goal. When Hanuman set out to fly accross the ocean, the ocean god brought up Mount Mainak and invited Hanuman to rest a bit as he could be tired. But Hanuman graciously declined and to respect the offer made, he just touched the mountain with reverence and carried on. On a mission as high as Lord ram's comforts and conveniences are bound to come. But we have to just touch them not being attached. Mobile phones, computers, cameras are conveniences to be used in service. But do not be attached to them. Man has a tendency to stop and enjoy comforts and conveniences. When you take big responsibilities, comprts and conveniences are given to help. But let these be a boon for you and not a curse. Then there was the demon Sinhaka, who would catch hold of the shadow of whatever was flying over the ocean and make the fyling creature immobile and fall into the ocean. She would then devour it. She did the same to Hanuman, but he was not trapped. To catch the shadow means, to appease the ego. Shadow is such a thing which actually does not exist. It is a result of light (or grace) falling on an object but not reaching the object below. It is not there, but is visible. The ego is apparent but does not exist. The feeling of individual identy is felt, but does not exist. So when people praise the ego saying, "How beautiful is your form"..., etc. such a person gets trapped. So whenever you are praised as an individual identity, understand that Sinhaka has come to catch your shadow. Do not get trapped. Hanuman vanquished this demon too and move ahead. Later in the story, rocks floated on water when the word 'Ram' was written on them. Ram too placed a rock in the water, but it sank. So Ram remarked, "Oh the rock that I wrote 'Ram' on sank. So the Ram that I thought about was someone else." To which Hanuman replied, "Oh Lord! Who ever you let go of is bound to drown." One night, Ram looked at the moon and asked everyone who had assembled what they saw in the moon. Several different answers emerged, describing the beauty of the moon, the light of it on the mountains, the waters, etc. When Hanuman was asked, he said, "I see only Ram. The moon is only a mirror to reflect the reality of Ram." Thus Hanuman demonstrated various qualities on how a devotee should be service. Let not the mind get an excuse that only great souls or incarnations can do great deeds. The possibility of lies even within us where devotion can arise and our body can become a temple like Hanuman's.

 [Hindi] Celebrating Mahavir Jayanti With Understanding | समझ के साथ महावीर जयंती कैसे मनाएँ | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1095

Dear Jains, A thought may have occurred to some, "We are not Jains. We are Hindus... Buddhists... Muslims or Christians." This happens because with time, we take words at their face value. We stop looking for the intention, the meaning of the word. "Whoever brings the mind and senses under their control are called Jains. So, on this Earth all those who have their minds under their control are Jains and all those who don't are non-Jains. The right method of paying homage to Lord Mahavir, through whom the knowledge of 'Kaivalya' reached people, is to attain what he attained - Self mastery over mind and body. So whoever rises from lower to higher and brings his / her mind under control and attains 'Kaivalya' knowledge is Mahavir. About 2600 years ago, a son was born to Siddharth and his wife Trishala who went on to be called Mahavir later. When we say, Mahavir's birth day, understand that Mahavir is neither born nor dies. And remember that Mahavir is not a name, but the work or the quality that expressed through the body. Mahavir means supreme courage. People also celebrate Mahavir's birth anniversary as forgiveness day. But who is able to forgive? First things first. Attain that which Mahavir attained due to which compassion became natural to Mahavir. How did the feelings of forgiveness, friendliness, equanimity emerge from that body? What was attained there? Following just rituals with the feeling, 'I' forgave the 'other' is of no use. One never understands that "When you forgive and did a favour to yourself. You forgave the other because the other was you alone. You forgave the other because the other never made any mistake. There was no need for forgiveness." But to understand this one needs to see that there was no mistake ever committed. This is possible to one who has attained the higher understanding where one sees that some are made to commit 'mistakes' so that the game on Earth moves forward. But before this understanding has dawned, one needs to forgive. "Those who forgive others are forgiven for their mistakes." Mahavir says, "Non-violence is true religion." Even at a subtle level, when you are proving another wrong, you are committing violence. A Jain will not say the other's path is wrong. So let us contemplate on which are the areas where subtle violence takes place by us which takes us away from the path of winning over the mind. From his school days till youth, Mahavir worked on self mastery. Many do not even attain self control in their old age. They do not have control on their speech and keep muttering, traumatising everyone at home. Even wanting to stop they are unable to. One with foresight will think of it in his youth itself. "My old age should be such that people want to live with me." Youth is a opportunity before old age sets in. People will want to benefit from your knowledge of life. This is possible with many small experiments with small intentions everyday. One does not become a Mahavir in a day. Your future life will be very beautiful. You will feel your inner strength and self confidence. The path of Mahavir was that of intentions and vows. He vowed to stay away from sinful activities and not to indulge in any such activity due to which his freedom is compromised. One who thinks himself to be the body, becomes a slave of everything that provides for his body. The wise one will contemplate the consequences of his every action. Mahavir walked this path. Then he undertook 5 vows. First was non-violence. In depth, unconditional-love is the same as height of non-violence. What happened that non-violence, friendliness, compassion meditation, silence or dance and songs of devotion were the result... Books, scriptures like the Gita, Koran, Bible were written... Abhangs, poems were written... Song of God emerged. What understanding emerged... what feeling of submission awoke... what individual identity fell... If we attain that state, then non-violence is its result. A person who really wants to practice non-violence will concentrate on what it is that one has to learn and what it is that one has to see in the other that violence never happens through me. Only love emerges. So first things first. First bring about this understanding. Mahavir said, first work on practices and strive for understanding so that unconsciousness is broken. Then came abstinence from theft, breaking the habit of hoarding. Learn to live with as little things as possible.

[Hindi] How to Accept Change and Why - The great law of life (by Sirshree) - बदलाहट को स्वीकार करो | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1520

When an incident happens in Life, there is a change A change in the arrangement, state of things, environment. Change is actually beautiful. But humans do not know this. No sooner there is change, a resistance is born from within. You wonder why you are inconvenienced when change occurs. It is because the mind says "This should not happen." to whatever is happening. If there is ignorance, the mind will talk. The mind is nothing but a talking disease. It will keep pestering you... "Hey! do something. Why are still not doing anything?.. Do u not understand?..." How flustered will you be if every disease begins to speak? It is the commenting mind that is the cause of unhappiness. By itself, no incident is the cause of suffering. It is how the incident is seen, what is added to it... that is the problem. If you stop adding anything to an incident... your suffering is gone. When emotion is added to an incident, it becomes a problem. Till then there is no problem. Accept change because change is good and beautiful. But if we are not convinced, we cannot accept it. So ask, "Can I accept this?". This can mean change in the weather, the arrangements, nature of people staying with you... But the question remains... Is change good? A doctor said to a patient, "I will give you a medicine which will make you young again." The patient responds, "No.. no.. don't do that. It will stop my pension." See how beautiful the proposed change is. But what is man seeing.... pension. Humans have held on to something which they don't want to leave. Small conveniences which they do not want to leave. Hence there is a quote which says, "Safeguard you big dreams from your small desires." What is your big dream?... That of freedom... that of happiness... that of living in the present... to live being the one I really am according my true nature. What a wonderful dream! But what are the small desires?... your favorite program on TV. Some calls you saying, "Lets go for today's discourse on true happiness." ... "No. Today is the cricket match." So people have small desires which are more alluring. A person is stuck to Pension. But what a massive change was becoming youthful again. Being youthful means the one who is lively, awareness. Those who possess wealth are rich... those who possess compassion are benefactors... those who are alive and aware are called youth. The person was going to acquire liveliness again. But a small convenience made him reject it. When recession sets into the market, or a person is transferred to another department, another project... complaints begin immediately. Wait! Don't conclude and label the incident as bad immediately. Because there is something new coming. Learn to welcome and recognize the new. Within us too the 'Experience of being' is ever fresh and new. We have stopped looking at it - "Must be the same boring emptiness." But now a new training is being given. Look for the new and welcome it. Change is good. Good is God. Change has not come to bind you. It has come to free you. The inset of a disease or even death is a change. The gross body is destroyed and the journey continues with the subtle body. But human are so grief stricken on some one's death. An infant grows into childhood. Do you lament this change? No. Then the child grows to adolescence... to youth... to middle age... old age. Now the old man has changed to a subtle body - the next phase. That person wants to tell us not to grieve for him. But he is not able to do so as his journey is on in another frequency of existence. Nature is continuously guiding us through change. People think of retaliating to change. They look for a reason. "Who was responsible.... my neighbor.. boss... mother in law... daughter in law... colleague... etc. "That person had slapped me 10 years ago. I will retaliate." But the truth is, that person had hit your body in one moment. But you have mentally slapped yourself for 10 years thinking about it. Who is more cruel? You or him?" Man has stories about how things should be. How people should behave. He sees every incident with the specs of these stories. But when man looks without these spectacles, for the first time he will see things as they truely are. So the way forward is to look at everything non judgingly. "Why did a person do this?... Because he did it." There is no other meaning to an incident. So stories and emotions stop colouring man's vision. Incidents stopped becoming problems and change became beautiful. Not knowing this people blame fate, God, past lives,.. It is the habit of the mind to fix blame. Don't fix a blame. Look at change with a new perspective. Your peace should remain intact with change. With every change just say, "Let things happen according to my divine plan." Everything has been briefly explained, but it has great depth. Work on it in our worldly life. Change the thought that change should not happen. New dimensions will come into your life.

 [Hindi] Good Friday - Secret of The Unseen Miracle (आत्मबल का चमत्कार) - by Sirshree | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1701

Good Friday to some is not so good as they remember the violence meted to Christ and mourn the day. It is good for some who remember the teachings of Christ. But, beyond good and bad, very few understand this day as God Friday. Jesus performed miracles in his life time for the sake of others by curing the ill, even in a case, restoring life to the dead. But when crucified, what miracle did Christ perform by not performing any magic. To gauge the depth of this most significant of Christ's deeds, lets understand this analogy. There were three magicians, 'A' aged 55, 'B' aged 44 and 'C' aged 33. All the three have been sent to different places. They have been instructed to perform their magic so that the seed of 'Truth' is sown in a 100 people by each of them. After reaching the 100th person is whom the seed is sown they are to stop their magic and not use it anymore. 'A' diligently completed displaying magic till the seed of Truth was sown in a 100 people. But soon, his home caught fire while he was asleep. He woke saw no route to escape. So he performed magic and escaped. However, he could not fulfil the instruction to stop magic at 100. When father asked, "Why did you not stop?" he said, "What could I have done? There was no way out. The blaze was intense and I could not have survived it?" People normally have reasons for everything that they do not follow and all perfectly logical. But the purpose of coming to Earth remained unfulfilled. 'B' too touched a hundred people. But he faced even greater adversities. There was a flood which submerged his home and he was stuck in a thunder storm with lightning striking all around him. So he too performed magic and survived. When he returned, father asked, "Why did you not stop at 100?" He too explained in graphic detail, the reasons for his actions. Father said "Ok." No arguments are made with people who give reasons. Now when 'C' touched 100 people, there was an earthquake and the earth below him split. His body was wedged in the slit and rocks began to fall from above. But he performed no magic. He stopped as instructed. 'A' and 'B' had magic powers and used them to as instructed when things were smooth sailing. But when things got rough, they lacked inner strength continue following instructions. "How could we know what's in store for us on Earth? How could we know the pains in relationships? How could we know the hot sun...?"So do people complain. But 'C' was Christ. He performed the greatest miracle when on the crucified on the cross. The miracle was that of "Inner strength" where he performed no magic. People were expecting him to perform a miracle when on the cross and come out of the torture and injustice that they saw. But they were looking for magic as a miracle. When Christ prayed to the Father, "Forgive them for they know not what they are doing." No one saw the miracle of inner strength. His prayer had two dimensions. The first indicated the foolishness of the pursuit of the torturers. How can one bury the shadow of someone? The body is not Christ. The other is, they do not know the consequence of their deeds done with a body expressing the highest consciousness. So they need to be forgiven. Which is a greater miracle? - When God performs miracles to save man, OR When man performs an action to obey the will of God? The circumstances created for the crucification came about from Nature which can never happen without the will of God. Jesus accepted it as the will of God and said, "Oh Father! Thy will be done." Understand that there was none and is none even today who would have faulted Christ has he performed magic to save his body when being crucified. None could have found fault as it was logically perfect to do so. But when inner strength reaches heights, deeds beyond one's comprehension are done and leave a lesson for all, taking the consciousness of the world to an entirely new level. It comes in the teachings of Christ - "The seed has to die in the ground to give life to the tree." Jesus accepted death and hence became life. The body of Christ was alive with Christ consciousness again after 3 days on Easter Sunday and stayed with and guided his disciples for another 40 days. It is a lesson for the youth of today to ready themselves with such inner strength that they are able to continue what they originally intended, whatever be the adversities on the path. Only then can they ready themselves for such deeds which can vindicate the statement, "I was able to fulfil the purpose of my human birth."

 [HINDI] 1st Supreme Secret of Life (जीवन का पहला महान रहस्य) by Sirshree | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1330

You all are guests on the planet earth. Every person is a guest on this earth. If every person is a guest, then a question arises who is the host? We all are guests of ‘The Great’. If we could see the house of ‘The Great’ as it is then our way of living in this house will change completely. Our everyday activities will change. When we go as a guest to someone’s house then how do we live there? Do we think like this is my room and no one shall enter in my room? We never say this because we are always aware that we are the guest here. What kind of house is it? The floor of this house is with square tiles of black and white colour. The floor design reminds us of the game chess. People walk on this floor which gives them happiness and sorrow. If they have understanding why they have come on this floor then this very floor will become a reason for happiness and it will become a way of expressing their true self. But if you don’t have this understanding, you will see problems in your life. The first secret of life is related to problems. Man thinks there are many problems in his life. But in reality, there is only one problem. To perceive any incident in life as a problem is the only problem. When you say a word ‘Problem’, you actually get stuck in your own word. Whenever you try to explain your situation or feeling by using words like, I was scared, I was shocked, I felt insecure. You get stuck in your own word. Because when you use such words then because of these words you start feeling that way. So be very careful while using words for your feelings. Suppose you said, ‘I was feeling insecure’. Instead of that you could have said, ‘I was feeling that I should take precaution here.’ This makes the difference. When you give correct words to your feelings they don’t make you feel bad. When you use negative words you start feeling that way. So whenever you are trying to give a word to your feelings, stop for a moment and give correct word. If you give correct word then you will be saved from lot of sorrow. Whenever a problem comes give correct words and shift from that feeling to faith. Because all these negative feelings come just to tell you that something unusual is happening. Feeling just tells something good or bad is happening. The role of feeling is to communicate about a state or a situation. The role of faith is to control that state or that situation. Just as the thermometer communicates about the temperature but faith controls the temperature, it is a medicine which heals. Faith is temperature controller. So don’t stop to the feeling only go to the next step of faith. Man has reach only to the feelings on his body. He is not aware of the ‘Tejguru’ feeling which is beyond a body. So he gets stuck in these feelings only. So you need to take next step and use faith. Repeat the mantra with faith, ‘I can handle this problem. I already have strength and capability to handle this problem’. When you repeat this mantra you come out of that negative feeling. After that remind yourself about hidden secrets in every problem. You can remember these with five fingers of a hand. 1-Solution (baby finger) – Baby finger smallest finger and it represents correctly the fine nature of the solution which you need to search. ‘Every problem has its solution attached to it’. Nature has provided a solution to every problem in that problem itself. 2-Gift (Ring finger): The second secret is a gift. You are not supposed to come across any conclusion immediately when a problem comes in your life. After a period of time when the scene unfolds completely many could see the gift and they say whatever happened in their life it was for the good. 3-Ladder for growth (Middle finger): Problems are like ladders in your life, they are stepping stones or a springboard with the help of which you can reach the peaks of growth and success. 4-Teaching (Index finger): Every problem is a teacher. You also need to understand from problems, what lesson life is trying to teach me with this incident or problem. Everyone needs to learn their lessons on earth. Problems help you learn your lessons. 5-Challenge (Thumb): When you play a game called carom, you never say why am I suppose to play in these two lines only. This limitation or challenge is given to improve your skills. This is what makes the game interesting and brings happiness. If you could see every problem in your life in this way, then problems in your life won’t remain problems anymore.
