Episode 18: Superhuman super fuel. A look into the life of the Tarahumara (running people) or the copper canyons of Mexico. | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:07:54

Check out the show notes page to leave a comment.  Super excited about this interview but I am kind of a NERD when it comes to my garden.  As you also know I love food, particularly the idea that healthy whole food doesn't have to taste bad.  In fact, it tastes great!!! In this interview with Dana Richardson and Sara Zentz we talk about their first full length production called Back to Eden.  Then we spent some time chatting about their trip down to the copper canyons of Mexico to live with the Tarahumara indians and learn how they live, grow their own food, and celebrate running as a culture.  They are also considered a "cold spot" for the 3 biggest diseases in most modern countries today, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.  They have almost 0%! Maybe it's time we started thinking about what we are putting in our bodies, especially as athletes who want to get the most out of life.   I hope you enjoy this episode, please head over and donate before March 12th to help this movie get wrapped up so we can watch it in the fall! It's going to be awesome.  So, what are you going to grow this year? Leave a comment below and tell me how this episode inspired you?

Episode 17: "The Mayor of Running"- Bart Yasso of Runners World magazine!!! | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 56:57

I can't believe Bart Yasso "chief running officer" from Runner's World Magazine was kind enough to spend some time talking about his favorite races, training, the inside scoop on "Yasso 800's, and issue a challenge to the podcast audience! He is truly a gift to the sport of running, and has done more to advance the sport than many I know.  Don't miss his candid story about running a 5k at a nudist colony totally naked after speaking at the pasta dinner the night before....in the same attire! Such a funny story.  What a privilege to spend some time with him.  Don't miss this episode!

I really enjoyed catching up with my friend from Colorado, Jerry Armstrong.  This interview is more of a casual conversation with someone who has run way more miles than I have.  He had some really great tips on learning to enjoy running, training safely and some books that have changed his life.  Go to the show notes here. for links to the books he recommended and a free audio download of Ultra Marathon Man from audible.com
