After that we continued our ongoing coverage of History Channel’s Vikings. We split the discussion into first a non-spoilery section meant to talk about the episode generally in an effort to get people to start watching it. Following that we got balls deep into the episode leaving no spoiler rock unturned.  For those curious, the title is a reference to something discussed in the spoiler section. Episode 91: Mineoshock Craftinite : In this our 91st episode of The Braingasm Podcast we take time to reflect on what we love and loathe.  We began as we do every week by pausing for dramatic effect. After that we reflected on the nature of the recording of the show and some behind the scenes tid bits and info before moving on to talking about the gangbuster sales of the Niagara Comedy CD Spectacular! We then discussed Cesca’s move and the nature of owning possessions.  After Ben’s power went out AND his house started flooding we finally got into What’s Been Filling Our Voids. Cesca began by pledging allegiance to the flag of Bioshock Infinite. Ben chipped away at why he loves the game Minecraft. Finally the two engaged in a very heated discussion of why they felt so cold towards the finale of The Walking Dead (SPOILERS ABOUND). Episode 90: Ready Player Done: In this our 90th episode of The Braingasm Podcast we chit chat amongst ourselves.  We began as we do every week by pointing out our past faults in an effort to become better podcasters. After that we discussed the recent dissolution of Cesca’s Uber-favorite band My Chemical Romance. Ben discusses some recent bummer news but also his newly released awesome comedy CD (available now for $5). We also have a vitriolic discussion of the notion of “Spoilers”.  After the non-break we did a quick check in on the show Vikings before moving on to a thorough and deep discussion of the book Ready Player One (available on Audible). This is the most in depth we’ve ever gone on a book but we loved it a lot lot so we had a great deal to talk about and the conversation remains entertaining the entire time. Episode 89: Justifiable Viking-Cide: In this our 89th episode of the Braingasm Podcast we are short one Cesca and long one Jordan Cobb (@jowoco). Episode 88: Robin Wright's Neck Hole : In this our 88th episode of the Braingasm Podcast we have an in studio guest for the back half. The lovely and talented comedienne Jen Meyers! We began as we do every week by throat singing… After that we talked about how evil the women on The View are, the beginning of That’s My Boy, 4chan, Ben’s upcoming 1 year comedy anniversary, and Cesca’s ongoing apartment hunt. After that we exploded into a rant about how woefully the education system fails to prepare people for the challenges of adult life, and how the inclusion of a class that teaches people about interest, credit and how to fill out tax forms should be included in the basic curriculum. It sounds heady but it’s pretty entertaining.  After the break we gave a quick update on the election of the new pope and the Justin Timberlake episode of SNL. This lead to What’s Been Filling Our Voids. Cesca and Ben took another bite on the flesh of The Walking Dead game, Cesca now having finished it. Jen got all Canadian, eh, in her discussion of the film A Beginner’s Guide To Endings. FInally, Ben dug deep into Robin Wright’s neck hole and showed his hand in his discussion of House of Cards.  This was a fun episode and our quickest turned around episode to date. Episode 87: LukeWarm Bodies: In this our 87th episode of the Braingasm podcast we are flying solo once again. We began as we do every week with Ben complaining about the audio quality and abruptly pausing the record to fix it.  After that we did a bit of BS-ing. Cesca gave a status update about her new humble abode and Ben told the story of his first ever comedy show. It’s a good story and the effect that it had on Ben is obvious in the way he tells it.  Following that we had a Zombie-rific What’s Been Filling Your Void. Cesca chose between her available dialogue options in her review of the video game The Walking Dead (the good one, not the crappy Activision one). Following that the pair engaged in a very interesting debate about their feelings towards the film Warm Bodies. One of them liked it, one did not leading to one of the best movie reviews we’ve ever done.  This new recording arrangement has been working gangbusters for us and we couldn’t be happier to be back in the saddle. Episode 86: Eat A Rick, Walking Dead: In this our 86th episode of The Braingasm Podcast…We’re Back Bitches! :) Cesca and Ben are reunited and it sounds so good. We didn’t want to ruin the reunion with a guest but (availability pending) we will be getting guests soon. We began as we do nevery week by introducing the episode and saying what number it is. It’s been a very long time.    After that we got right on to the getting on. We had a long and interesting conversation about what we’ve been up to in our winter vacation. Ben and Cesca discuss their disasters, Ben talks about his tour and CD, Cesca talks about her new place and what that might mean for the show. It was a good conversation. After that we did an AMC centric What’s Been Filling Your Void. We had extended (and yes, spoiler-riddled) conversations about the tv shows Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead. If you haven’t seen either of these shows then this isn’t the conversation for you, but if you’re up to date on both then you’re gonna love this.  Above all, it feels good to be back. Cargasm #3: Jeff Stroop (12/28/2012): In this third instalment of Cargasm we are joined by the elder statesman of Niagara Comedy, Jeff Stroop. This is part one of what will have to be a two part conversation which I consider Niagara Comedy: A People’s History. This is a recording of the drive back from historic Club 54 in Burlington (home of the longest running stand up comedy show in television history). This was Ben’s first and Jeff’s hundred and first time performing there. What you will hear is a slightly more structured version of the conversations that occur on every one of these trips. I’m not exagerating when I say that some of the weirdest conversations happen in these scenarios so this podcast is an attempt to capture that on tape.  Look forward to the next one of these which will go up a week from now and will include a super secret extra guest.
