Tonight we discuss making sure you have yourself and your family prepared in order to weather different situations you may encounter in life. "In the Rabbit Hole" A group that helps you prepare for some of these situations in an "Urban Survival" situation is our guest.

Difficile est tenere quae acceperis nisi exerceas It is difficult to retain what you may have learned if you do not practice it. Exactly, shooting is a perishable art and it will rust and disolve without keeping it sharp and bright with practice. How can you keep your skills up without going to the range once a week? Easy, dryfiring i your home.

"Audio, Video, Disco" "I hear, I see, I learn" The latin words have become common usage words in our language today. But they arrived here with a distinct meaning. And presented in this phrase, they have an even more certain meaning. "I hear" meaning, I listen. I am listening to what is being said, not waiting to talk. "Isee", I am not so wrapped up in my own small life that I can not see the mechanics of the world in a bigger picture sense and try to understand where I live in this world. "I learn", I do not put my hand on the stove every day in order to figure out that a stove top in use is hot. That is what we are supposed to be doing every day in order to make sure we are helping to lead our nation in the right direction, not running to try and catch up to the buss carrying the folks who do not have a clue and are just being driven to wherever whoever is driving the bus takes them. As citizens of this nation, we were not meant to be herded into pens and kept quietly in ignorance of what our future is. We were meant to be the Authors of our future, of our destiny. Are you doing this? Are you penning your own future? Writing your own story and living it to the fullest of your ability while doing your duty of safeguarding the freedoms and liberties that living in this nation affords you. If you are not, you should be. Come to an Appleseed and let us help you get started.

Non mihi non tibi sed nobis- Not for you, not for me, but for us, the foundation of a good relationship. That is why we do what we do at Appleseed. I do not do it for me, I do not do it for the other Appleseed Instructors, I do it for my children, my nation and for those who will come after. I have to do a great many things for Appleseed that take a lot of time, or that I do not really care to do. A lot of work. If I could I would only do the actual events because they are fun and very satisfying. It is all the work between the end of an event and the beginning of the next event that is the hard part.

Fluctuat nec mergitur- It is tossed by the wavaes but it does not sink. That kind of sounds like our nation right? And like Appleseed too. As a nation we have been through many rough timess and yet we have pulled through each of them. As an organization we have also had some rough times and we continue to push through them in order to fulfill our mission. And we can sure use your help. Right now we are in the middle of a big promotions push and we need everyone involved in the program to lend a hand with promotions. That means we need you to help. GOA has been on the cutting edge of defending the rights of American Gun Owners for many years and they continue to do so to this day. Not only does GOA work to defend existing rights, but they continue to work on expanding the rights of Americans in the areas of gun ownership. At Appleseed, we do not run an information or lobbying organization, we run a growing organization that agressively seeks out Americans and asks them to get off the couch and become defenders of their rights and freedoms. We are concentrating our efforts in getting folks energized and up and working. We do not try and tell them how to do this specifically as there are dozens, even hundreds of organizations out there already set up to do this. We tell folks that Gun Owners of America is one the organizations Americans should be working with to make sure their rights and freedoms do not evaporate in the coming years.

There are literally millions of folks who would like to attend an Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship event, and we have hundreds of locations with thousands of instructors to teach them. So why are the lines not filled to capacity every weekend? Because the vast majority of Americans do not know we exist. How can we resolve this? Well, there are many ways to get the word out about Appleseed and we will give a few of them to you tonight.

Lethargus hostis hvmani generis-Apathy, the Enemy of The Human Race. You have heard me say this over and over. When America perishes, it will not be from a Godzilla type event, but from rust, from apathy, from laziness. Bodies in motion tend to stay in motion, bodies at rest tend to remain sedentary. But you do not have to be one of the sedentary bodies. Find out what you can do to make sure you keep yourself in motion.

The title above is from a childrens my wife had. I read the book one of the many times I visited her classroom when she was teaching kindergarten and first grade. I was very surprised to see the book back then and to read all of the accurate details in it. History, especially anything to do with The American Revolutionary War and the formation of the nation has been slowly but surely chipped away and discarrded in American classrooms in the last four decades. I picked it up last week when I was cleaning the bookshlves and thinning out the library in our home and while reading it again, realized it had a lot of ideas that could be used in discussion of American Heritage, history, and also in our current American situations.

We are a fairly informed group, by teaching and listening to folks telling "The Story" of the events of April 19th 1775. But what happened in the days immediatly after the events of April 19th 1775? Tonight we take a look at the events following Lexington, Concord and Battle Road and how the war progressed in the first early days of America's Revolutionary War.
