Film History On Videotape Podcast / Summer Camp Movies / Review #195 / Poison Ivy (1985) Made for TV movies usually are not our thing here on Film History on Videotape but we could not pass this one up for our month of Summer Camp Movies.  Poison Ivy is a mid 80's sorta clean version of Meatballs but certainly not without its own charm.  Familiar faces (not the least of which Michael J. Worrell.   A surprising hit and the beginning of a franchise of over a half a dozen sequels, this goofball comedy is weird, bizarre, peculiar, and downright strange.  A group of underdog kids, a shadowy corporate mining entity, Native American mysticism and one big idiot are on the menu this week when Ernest Goes to Camp.  Enjoy!
