The Ultimate Threequel. That could certainly be said about Return of the Jedi... the third and final part of the original Star Wars trilogy. More often than not a bad sequel can kill a franchise. Once in a while though you get a "threequel" that reinvigorates the series of movies to such a level that it becomes something else entirely. A Legend Mr. Wayne. Ok sorry for that. A Nightmare on Elm St. 3: The Dream Warriors is such a "threequel" though. To boldly go... where no television show turned movie franchise has gone before. The Star Trek gang is back and in this "threequel" that followed the enourmously popular sequel The Wrath of Khan. The first Star Trek movie left many people wanting more in terms of a fun and exciting science fiction movie... so the movies took a sharp turn for the better some say. With Spock in the directors chair and a pre Back to the Future Christopher Lloyd as the baddie... this movie did not slow down the Star Trek movie output one bit. Enjoy! The impending release of Prometheus has given us an excuse to review a movie that would otherwise bore us to tears. Yeah this flick came out a while ago, but we think that a movie of such interest deserves several viewings and alot of time to think about it. Sometimes... once in a great while... a really good movie gets made and nobody bothers to see it. When its your standard genre fare it is certainly understandable, but when a movie takes decades to get made, and spends hundreds of millions of dollars to get made and nobody sees it... well thats a different story all together. One might assume that its because the movie is no good, which could not be further than the truth about John Carter... the 2012 Disney movie that proved to be box office poison with a target on its back.
