We take the opportunity this week to sit down with MadTree co-founders Kenny McNutt and Brady Duncan to explore not just who MadTree is today, but who they want to be in the future. We explore how they plan on refocusing that focus of it all, and take a few peeks behind the curtain at what's coming down the pike. This episode we sit down with Dan, Joe and Jim from the brewery to get to know who they are, and what makes it all tick. We try a few beers (duh) and talk about how it all came to be, and what's in store for the future of their brewpub.

You may not see them as big as the places that they've worked with, but it's no secret the LemonGrenade Creative plays a big role in shaping what Cincinnati Craft beer looks like today, and will look like tomorrow. I'm joined this week by Thommy Long and two of his designers, Lilly and Jen to talk about the process of their creative side. We explore what makes it all work, and drink a few beers along the way! I love a show from our home studio - it brings it all back to what started things... friends around a table. We use this week to explore the topic of beer competition, and it's importance (or not) in the grand scheme of things. Do we care about them, and why? We also look at the news to see the impact of new regulations for breweries in New Jersey. Of course... you know that we also had a couple beers along the way! I love brewery openings... and this one is set to bring even more great beer to a community that is desperate for it, Mason Ohio. They'll join their neighbors, 16 Lots, in providing beer to the neighborhood, but they'll definitely be putting their own spin on things. This episode explores just what that spin is going to look (and taste!) like!

Joined by a couple of the fine folks from Taft's Ale House (Colin and Patrick) along with the Beercat - we set up shop in the middle of a sunny and exciting UC campus to record a show while tailgating. Why? Because why not? We talked not just about the beautiful combination that is beer and football, but about Taft's Ale House and their massive growth here in town lately. Oh... we also drank a couple beers too.

New breweries are fun, and we love talking to them... but a new distributor? You don't get this chance often as there hasn't been a new one to open in Cincinnati for a LONG time. We take a peek at what makes the world of beer distribution tick for this group that I think represents the craft side of craft distribution. Michael Amann from Adena Distribution sheds light on a world that few take time to take a deeper look into. We also use the chance to drink a few beers from Wooden Cask, Darkness and St. Arnulf while we're hanging out.

It's been far too long since I've sat down with Monroe's Rivertown Brewing Company. We were long overdue to talk about their furious pace of package releases lately, and the refocused outlook on what makes them unique to the Cincinnati craft beer scene. I've been hearing rumors about the return of a few crowd favorites, and we couldn't let the show get by without exploring that a little bit, too! I sat down this week with Andy and Brian from FigLeaf Brewing Company to explore how they are constantly evaluating what FigLeaf looks like (and tastes like) by looking inward to their fans that fill the taproom each week. They look to create a taproom experience that makes the people who spend their time in the taproom happy.

They're cranking out some incredible Barrel Aged Sour beers, and we wanted to explore what makes them tackle such an unpredictable side of brewing.
