Sausagefest With Cincy Beer Brats | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:14:25

It’s a taste sensation as CincyBrewcast welcomes “Chef Tony” from Cincy Beer Brats to our first “Food and Beer” edition! You have seen (and probably tasted) Tony’s delicious wares at their “Beer ‘n’ Brat” events at some of the Cincy Craft taprooms – the next one takes place July 24 at Braxton Brewing! Chef tells us about what goes in to making a beer brat, some new and exciting products they are coming up with (including Breakfast Links) and how he went from the media business to the “brat biz”. We also drink some casual beers from Cellar Dweller, West 6th, and Madtree and we finish our interview with Dave Volkman of Ohio Valley Hops ahead of their OHGG Open House, taking place at Ohio Valley Hops in Maineville on July 25. Plus Fermented Reality “B Cups”, an all new Question of the Week (with a sweet prize) and much more on this all-new CincyBrewcast!  Live at Listermann Brewing Company! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:28:02

All roads in Cincinnati craft beer have been said to lead to Listermann Brewing Company, and that’s a statement that’s hard to argue with.  Listermann Manufacturing Co has been the leading homebrew supply store in the city since they first opened their doors back in 1995, so it only made sense that this episode of Cincy Brewcast should be done live from their hallowed taproom on Dana Avenue. We talked ourselves through a ton of topics such as where Listermann sees themselves in Cincinnati’s ever growing and evolving beer scene, to the current expansion that is underway at the brewery (and in the taproom).  We also drank a few Listermann beers and chatted about the many sides to their tap lineup. It’s our first ‘official’ show on location, and it’s a perfect space to have it in… It’s hard to find a place like Listermann Brewing Company in any beer city, and there definitely isn’t another place like it in Cincinnati! From The Beer Fridge * Listermann – Cincinnati Red* Triple Digit – Chickow! (read my impressions here)* Listermann – Don’t Talk Shit About Norwood (read my thoughts here)* Triple Digit – BBA Coffee Chickow! Guests This Week * Jason Brewer – Listermann Brewing Company* Patrick Gilroy – Listermann Brewing Company* Dan Listermann – Listermann Brewing Company

Seeing The Light Of Darkness Brewing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:22:50

This week we meet Ron Sanders and Eric Bosler, the founders up the upcoming Darkness Brewing in Bellevue, KY. Ron and Eric are hoping for an early autumn debut, but they are already in their space and preparing things! Find out why some of what you may have heard or read (brewing only dark beers, a reliance on crowd funding) may or may not be completely true. If that’s not enough, we’ll also try some of their homebrew, which (spoiler) is outstanding… and definitely not dark. We also drink some beers from Rivertown, Quaff Brothers, Moerlein and MadTree. It’s action packed. Guests This Week * Ron Sanders – Darkness Brewing* Eric Bosler – Darkness Brewing From The Beer Fridge * MadTree – Sol Drifter (read more about this beer)* Christian Moerlein – Strawberry Pig (read more about this beer)* Rivertown – Death* Quaff Brothers/Listermann – Even S’More of What?* Darkness – Rye Fi

Brewhaus Dog Bones | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:04

Let’s sit down and have a chat this episode with one of our newest favorite groups of people… Brewhaus Dog Bones. We meet Lisa Graham the founder and driving force behind the non-profit and we learn how she took an idea that she got during a visit to a San Diego craft brewery and in less than a year has turned it into an amazing educational opportunity for our area’s developmentally disabled young adults. We also bring into the studio Cheryl Henkel, a Special Education teacher and Allen Moellman from Listermann to tell us about their unique contributions to the program. Of course… none of this would be the same if we didn’t have a beer or two along the way! Guests This Episode * Allen Moellman – Listermann* Cheryl Henkel – Special Ed Teacher, Oak Hills* Lisa Graham – Brewhaus Dog Bones From The Beer Fridge * Mt. Carmel – Summer Wheat* Rhinegeist – Stryker* Fifty West – Highway To Hemp Heaven
