Sally recommends that you choose a theme song (or playlist) to play while working on your project. Pick something that will get you in the mood and remind you of the project when you hear it later. (When she was training for the marathon, she loved listening to Touch the Sky from the movie Brave.) Cate is obsessed with resin pouring and animal portraits at the moment. You have to look up Dani Ives of @begoodnatured (it is seriously one of the most amazing Instagram feeds that I have ever seen!) @clarevacha is also one of my favourites! Sally has been binge watching GirlBoss after Jen recommended it back in Episode 16. So fun! Sally is loving Obama's work uniform  and Matilda Kahl's uniform - one less decision to make in the morning leaves you free to make bigger decisions during the day. Adrianne is loving the work of Paige Poppe. If you're into cacti, you're going to love it too! Sally recommended checking out Michelle Mackintosh's book Snail Mail: Rediscovering the Art and Craft of Handmade Correspondence. Such a beautiful book and so many fun ideas of things to send in the post! You might not be able to give a lot of time to it every day and you might not be pleased with what you are making to start off with.

Sally enjoyed taking the free Webinar about how to grow your Instagram following and curate your feed put on by Ria of Craftsposure. Did you know about the first and third rule with Instagram? Kristl also suggested the UNUM app for this. Kristl is enjoying the beautiful work on Lisa Congdon and Lisa's 6 Week Creative Bootcamp (which looks so fun!), as well as the watercolor class Beginning Watercolor by Yao Cheng on CreativeBug. Kristl's advice: Just keep going as long as it lights you up. Quitting isn't a terrible thing, but there is a difference between things getting hard and it being the wrong project for you. Learn to recognise this.

Gretchen Rubin's Four Tendencies Quiz - What tendency are you? Crystal and I are both obligers and I think that many people who complete projects like the 100 Day Project. I'd love to know what tendency you are! Crystal's advice: Know what kind of person you are. This will help you to set yourself up for success. Start small. In this episode, Alyssa shared her love for her Zebra Mildliners. Sally loves getting fabric from Spoonflower - especially when they are running one of their free shipping deals that often pop up.  Check out Alyssa's designs on Spoonflower. Alyssa's 100 Day Project was inspired by the intriguing book, Dear Data, written by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec. . These are her favourite pens to work with and she is working in this Moleskine sketch album. Alyssa's advice:  Try experimenting. If you're overwhelmed, its okay to start over. Try different things. Sally is loving her Eco Silk bag. They are way better than any others she has owned before - so light, so strong and they fold up so small. Kristin is mad about her Awesome Ladies' Feminist Scrapbooking squad. Sally is really loving her Martha Stewart glue pen. She always thought a glue stick was good enough for her scrapbooking projects, but after trying out a glue pen, she was converted. Michele is loving Snapseed, A Color Story and Mixtures apps. Sally also thought she should try VSCO too. Chatbooks are an easy, fun and inexpensive way to turn your 100 Day Project into a coffee table book. (The Oh Joy! ones are Sally's favourites, so she kind of wishes she'd chosen a project that could be printed at the end now!) 1 second a day app is such a quick and easy way to capture memories over time and it makes really cool videos that really do show time passing, even if it is just one second a day. You can find Michele on Instagram - she's @rowndmup Michele's advice: Don't be too hard on yourself. If your piece doesn't match your vision, that's ok. Practise is a big part of the learning curve. Practise helps you to grow as an artist.

Missy shared her love for CreativeBug and the Flow Paper Lovers Book. Sally was super excited that something as simple as a can of chalk paint from Rustoleum could change her grandmother's old wooden lamp into something fresh and modern. Missy loves using Pink Paislee, Felicity Jane, Crate Paper, Heidi Swapp, crayolas and coloured pencils in her work. Lauren is enjoying taking and using bad pictures. They don't need to be perfect to be worthy of sharing and using in your projects. Lauren gets a calendar printed every year which makes a sweet, personal Christmas gift. (And my family are totally getting one this year!) Sally recommends Austin Kleon's book, Show Your Work. So much sensible, practical advice - it's a book she comes back to again and again for advice when it comes to creative work. This podcast is very much an example of showing your work! Ali Edwards' Day in the Life is coming up. Her Week in the Life is also a great way of capturing your daily life. Lauren's advice: Use your own hashtag for the project to document your journey. Choose something that is unique to you, rather than just using #the100dayproject so that you can go back and see all of your work in one place. You can find Lauren on Instagram @laurenlikesblog. Going on adventures can definitely inspire your creativity! Carol is enjoying the iPad and Procreate app. She thinks you should definitely be following @kristin_roskifte, @elleluna and @zarpray. Advice: Just give it a go. Get inspiration and set aside some time every day. Carol is on Instagram @happydraws_

Finnish illustrator Nadja has several current obsessions - Nina Simone (she recommends trying out the track 'Feeling Good'), Photoshop, Lego and Fabriano watercolour paper are amongst a few of them. She has also enjoyed the Make Art That Sells e-course and Make It In Design. Sally recommends her Fiskars faves - her rotary cutter and her scissors are both great quality and have stayed sharp! Winner! (And who knew that they are also from Finland!) The Suomenlinna Sea Fortress comes up in our conversation. Nadja illustrates the poster, brochure and other printed materials for the Children's Adventure Tour. It's a tour that takes children across the island, with historical characters from the island (played by actors). Nadja's advice: Play. Start with something small. Don't focus on the end product. Have fun! Play music and do a little dance to get yourself energised to create. Sally suggests that you have some fun and take a moment playing with The Colour Oracle. Nathalie is loving the Zakka Embroidery book, by Yumiko Higuchi. Some other amazing embroidery artists to check out are Sarah K Benning and Zelia Smith. Nathalie gets her 6 x 12 Project Life Inspiration from Kelly Purkey (love her work!) and Marta Andilla If you like scrapbooking, you might enjoy going back and listening to Episode 01 with Kellie, Episode 07 with Jess and Episode 12 with Ariana.  (And apologies to Jess because I couldn't remember her episode number at the time of recording so I didn't mention her episode on the show!) Nathalie's project from last year is under the hashtag #100PLcards bynathalie. Nathalie's advice: Celebrate the progress. Don't beat yourself up if you miss a day. Set a timer and go for it.

Jen absolutely killed it this episode with four amazing soapbox suggestions! She's reading GirlBoss and loving the Netflix series. You really have to take a look at Michelle Poler's @hellofears on Instagram, on Medium and on YouTube. Tina Roth Eisenberg curates her design blog swissmiss.com beautifully. Go there - it's an amazing site! Jen also recommends you watch Emma Rogan's Ted Talk about Inspiration Wherever You Are - The 100 Days Project. Sally shared her love for her Artline 300 Liquid Crayons. Ten years old and still going strong. Are they textas? Are they watercolours? Are they crayons? Who knows! What they are is awesome! Jen's advice: Do something you really like. Don't freak out if you don't get a chance to work on your project every day. Make things that make you happy. Create an idea with integrity. Sally never thought she would be into enamel pins but there are some super cute ones out there. Katie Abey is a new favourite in this department. Taco cat is taco cat backwards, c'mon! Hannah is loving following @predictivefeelings and @stupidlittlesquares on Instagram. Hannah has been taking a class where she had to think about 'A brand called me' which is something all creatives should consider really.  I think she has done such a good job with branding her project - it's clear, it's unique and you know exactly what you are going to get. She starts of her designs in her moleskine notebook and then makes them digital. I'm absolutely in love with her idea for her 100 day project.
