Teri is completing 100 days of nature photography for her project. Teri's advice: Do what makes your heart sing. Look at who you are, where you are in your life and pick something that is a good fit. Earthships come up in our conversation, as does Sketches, the app that Molly uses to create her pieces. Molly's advice: Start easy. Start with the materials that you have. Sally picked up a copy of 'Hello Tokyo' from her local bookshop and has really enjoyed it. You can read more about Ebony Bizys and her work at  Paper cut artist Reina has enjoyed trying out an iPad Pro and an iPencil.  She has also enjoyed her visits to the reopened San Francisco MOMA to see the work of Ellsworth Kelly and Agnes Martin. For her 100 day project, Reina has been doing 100 paper cut breakfasts. Sally's favourite is the Pop tart! Reina is always on the lookout for beautiful paper. Some of her favourite paper comes from French Paper Company in Michigan. Reina's advice: Get support from people around you. Surround yourself with like minded people. Choose a location to work and a time of day to do it. That way, when you are in that location you are ready to work and you have a time that you always do it, so you are less likely to try and skip out on doing it. Michelle Poler is a speaker, YouTuber and fear facer. (I'm currently obsessed with her channel - check it out - which she uses to share her 100 days without fear, her letters to her younger self and many other amazing videos.) Sally is excited about being involved in the Skillshare VIP Class where she is getting help, feedback and rewards (yes, there are prizes!) to make her first Skillshare Class. Michelle is excited to be working with her agent to put together a book proposal and to be able to share what she has learned in a book about her journey. It was super interesting to hear how Michelle got started with her fears work. She considered: What would be your perfect life ten years from now? And what is one obstacle that could crush your dreams? Her 100 day project this year is called 'Courage is ...' Michelle's advice is: Explore. Give yourself time to play. Katie recommends that you try swing dancing. (I have never done it but she makes it sound so fun!) Sally has been enjoying people sharing Amy Tan's new book Craft a Life You Love. One part practical advice, one part colouring book, lots of parts very, very cool! Marissa has just been listening to Stephen King's On Writing - A Memoir of the Craft and it is a must read for any aspiring writers out there. She's also enjoying Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. Sally is loving the Holstee Manifesto. You definitely need this for your wall! Blake Snyder wrote Save the Cat which is a great way to plan your fiction writing even though it is meant for screenwriters. Ira Glass has great advice for creatives. Sally just loved watching Anne with an E on Netflix. At first she wasn't sure about a 'new Anne', but the series is very well done and is more inspired by the books that sticking too closely too them. It was nice to see more of the backstory of the characters too. And she has been weaving more whilst watching. Not yet up to the standard of @_jujujust_ but one can dream. Joyanna is loving her the handmade stand for her drill that her husband made her for. Sally is loving Minted cards. They made her Save the Date cards and invitation cards for her wedding back in December and they have some really cute designs coming up for the holidays this year. (Yes - I know it is waaaay too early for Christmas, but they are so cute.) Joyanna's advice: Keep with it. Just do it. Do it. Don't stop to worry about what people think. Keep at it. Miriam recommends that you check out @artistmarketco on Instagram which is such a valuable resource for learning how to market and sell your work. Sally's soapbox choice is the US Social Security Baby Name website. She was introduced to it through this post on Cup of Jo and she has had to much playing around with it this week. Miriam's advice: Try to take the very best of the world. Cherish the connections that you make with others and give back as much as you can. Do your thing. Explore and try to be honest with yourself. Sally is really enjoying Ed Sheeran's new album, Divide. So many catchy songs on there to enjoy. Her faves are currently 'Galway Girl' and 'Castle on the Hill.' (The latter ended being the sound track to our honeymoon and listening to it will always make me think of that adventure too.) Sophia's recommendation is Katie Le Dain who makes these amazing scrabble letter haikus. (After this episode, I reached out to Katie and she will be on the show in Episode 39, so stay tuned for that.) Sophia uses this A Capella app to create her videos. Sophia's advice: Give it the best you can do each day. Use SMART goals to create a project that is specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time limited. Dorothee is really loving #the100dayproject and Instagram including photo challenges by Susannah Conway like the recent Aprillove#2017  We also talk about Coursera: In the Studio: Postwar Abstract Painting” by MOMA and Kathleen Warren studio notes.  Dorothee's advice: First try different approaches. Try them for several days and experiment. Nikki's soapbox choices for this week included Lisa Congdon, Creative Bug and Creative Mornings breakfast lectures (and I've since signed up for the Melbourne newsletter and it has bene so, so good. I'm hoping they have an event in the school holidays as they start at the same time as I start work normally! Wah!) Nikki's advice: Begin anyhow. Follow anything you are interested in. Sally has been reading Adnan's Story, by Rabia Chaudry, which has reminded her how much she enjoyed Serial's first season. (If you have never listened to it, start now. You are in for such a treat!) Mary's advice: Just start. Even if you hate it or if it sucks. Always have something to write down your ideas on so you don't forget them.
