Episode 52: Cerise Burns of sQuinks Art | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:00:00

In this episode, Cerise recommends these Winsor & Newton Watercolours, her Canson Watercolour Pad and these Neptune Watercolour brushes and these travel brush sets. Sally is loving Minted for their holiday cards. Yes, it is pretty early to be thinking about Christmas cards, but these things take time to put together and it is great to have them ready to send out in early December. Keep an eye out for one of their many sales to save. Cerise's advice for you: Create every single day. Practise every day. Keep following what you find passion doing. You might not find that right away. Keep doing the work every day and you will find something you love. You will have to put energy behind it and it doesn't happen overnight. Interact and build a network with others.  You can check out Cerise's Etsy Shop sQuinks Art and be sure to look for her donuts. They're the cutest! I've also just noticed that she has updated her range for the holiday season and it is gorgeous! She's also on Instagram @squinksart, on Facebook and on her website at www.squinksart.com

Make sure you join us on Instagram to win one of Cindy's beautiful hardcover books to keep your travelers notebooks in. They are so beautiful and it is little wonder that they are flying off the shelves of her rePapered Etsy Shop - https://www.etsy.com/shop/repaperedshop Be sure to follow her on Instagam @cinback and @repaperedshop and if you love scrapbooking and papercraft, head to seriousplay.typepad.com to see examples of her amazing scrapbooking work!

 Episode 50: Elise Blaha Cripe | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:44:55

Elise is super excited about the new season of Invisibilia. (Since talking with her, I've started listening and I can't believe I haven't been listening all along! So good!) Sally has gained so much from reading Essentialism by Greg McKeon. There would definitely be no podcast without that book. Elise is doing 100 days of plants on fabric for her project and it is so fun to follow along with her adventures on Instagram @elisejoy and on her website www.elisejoy.com We also talked a lot about her planner, Get to Work Book, which is just gorgeous. Check it out @gettoworkbook Elise's advice: Pick something that you really love and that you are really excited about. Come up with rules, but still allow yourself some flexibility.  It gets hard, that's the point. You just need to keep doing it, even when it is no longer fun.  Come up with a big idea of what it could be in the future.

Episode 49: Jiahui of Parade Made | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:17:45

Jiahui recommends that you check out illustrator Kow Fong @kowfong on Instagram. (And I agree - I've just checked him out and his work is amazing!) Sally is loving her new dresses from Doops Designs. She got the navy confetti and another one that is a bright print on jersey. So fun! Check them out on her Instagram Stories this week.  Jiahui is on Instagram @parade.made (and I'm warning you now - the cuteness factor is super high!) and her website is www.parademade.com

 Episode 48: Jules Cusworth | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:26:45

Jules was excited to find so much amazing street art on her recent trip to Barcelona. Sally suggested that you try doing something repetitive and mundane to give your brain time to mull over problems you have been trying to solve. She also suggested that you try new adventures (and her secret surprise date night to an Escape Room was a big hit! So, so fun!) This is Jules' THIRD YEAR completing the 100 Day Project. How amazing is that? (Learning this inevitably took the podcast off on a side conversation about Gretchen Rubin's Four Tendencies quiz - What is your type? How does that impact you trying to complete the project?) Jules is completing 100 days of drawing for her project. (Don't you think she is really getting the hang of people?) Jules' advice: Keep doing it. That's how you get better. Give yourself an allocated slot of time. Think of it like a job. You can find Jules on Instagram @jules_tea or on her blog julestea.blogspot.co.uk

 Episode 47: Katy McCullough | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:33:45

Katy recommends recording your ideas as voice memos to avoid getting writer's block and to help you to get your ideas sorted.  It is actually super easy to record yourself then play it back. Sally's soapbox choice is thinking about what your 'Nobel Prize Video' would show as your career highlights. What would people who know you and your work say? What things would you need to change to create the creative life you dream of? And what banana do you have to let go of? You can find Katy at http://greensandblues.co/ and on Instagram @greensandbluesco

 Episode 46: John Harman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:27:10

John is loving the new Guardians of the Galaxy 2 movie. Sally suggests that you look at your work from a different angle. For example, instead of always quilting quilts, you could quilt something totally different like the placemats she was given as a wedding present. John recommends that you check out Pollyanna Macchiano and David Macy if you'd like to learn more about Adobe and Vector Art. John's advice: Experiment. Try stuff out. Take common place techniques and try something different with them. You can find John and his work on Instagram @thejohnharman

 Episode 45: Tanya Moulds | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:25:50

Tanya is loving Peggy Dean's Botanical Line Drawing: 200 Step-by-Step Flowers, Leaves, Cacti, Succulents, and Other Items Found in Nature and her Pentalic Watercolour Field Sketchbook. Sally is loving the jewellery from Bang Up Betty.  There are some really fun gift ideas for the ladies in your life! You can see more of Tanya's work on her website, her Etsy shop, on Instagram @paintandletters, on Facebook, on YouTube and Pinterest.
