Matt Walsh, Unholy Trinity, and Why the Church is the Problem | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:25

This week Matt Walsh joins us to discuss his new book Unholy Trinity.  Unholy Trinity exposes liberal hypocrisy concerning abortion, gay marriage, and the redefinition of what it means to be a man or a woman. But what drove all this, what gave opportunity for the decline in our society?  The answer is simple, the church abdicated her responsibility. In CrossPolitic news we acknowledge Hillary Clinton’s commencement statement that there is “an attack on truth and reality”, but she neglected to mention her husband signed the Defense of Marriage Act back in 1996.  We also discuss Trump’s new budget–A New Foundation for American Greatness.  How to be an Atheist and Bruce Jenner’s Problem with Trump | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:04:38

Mitch Stokes is a Senior Fellow of Philosophy at New St. Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho.  He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Notre Dame under the direction of Alvin Plantinga and Peter van Inwagen.  At Yale, he earned an M.A. in religion under the direction of Nicholas Wolterstorff.  He also holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering and, prior to his philosophy career, worked for an international engineering firm where he earned five patents in aeroderivative gas turbine technology.  This might explain why he wrote a book called How to be an Atheist.  While atheists champion the importance of a critical stance toward religion, they often fail to take that same stance toward their own beliefs. This double standard results in grandiose claims about the certainty of their unbelief—which is logically inconsistent at best and intellectually dishonest at worst. In CrossPolitic news we discuss Bruce Jenner’s recent criticism of President Donald Trump, and why Bruce’s transgendered standards for the olympics are discriminatory.
