On today’s IGN The Fix: Games, the sleuths at Digital Foundry think the recent Breath of the Wild 2 footage looks a little too good for the Nintendo Switch. Could it be another case of a Zelda game in development on two different console generations? Will we see BOTW2 on the next Switch? Blizzard Entertainment has now fully absorbed Vicarious Visions, finalizing a deal that saw the former Activision subsidiary transferred to the Blizzard side. They’ll be supporting Blizzard titles going forward, which includes the Diablo 2: Resurrected remaster that they also developed. And gamers still haven’t run out of creative ways to beat Dark Souls 3 yet. This time, YouTuber ymfah forward slid and backward hopped to victory, getting through the game without once taking a regular step—that is, tapping on the WASD keys or using the left control stick to move. Now let’s see someone try that in Elden Ring.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, The Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer could have teased the inclusion of a Star Wars arc. Kingdom Hearts fans have noticed what could be the foot of an AT-ST walker during a brief scene in the trailer, indicating that Star Wars Planet Endor could be one of the Disney Worlds included in the next game. Elden Ring YouTuber Distortion2 is at it again, this time beating Elden Ring with the mighty power of his character's butt. Distortion2 beat Elden Ring using simply Ashes of War Ground Slam, Golden Slam, and Erdtree Slam, pretty effective damage dealing short distance AOE attack. It took Distortion2 just over 2 hours to beat Elden Ring, using the mighty power of his bum. Bravo! IGN & Rogue team up to create a new video game reality show. Game Developers from all over compete for upwards of $800,000 in prize money and a chance at a publishing deal with Rogue. Rogue Jam's impressive panel of industry icons includes the legendary Reggie Fils-Aimé. The 5 episode series starts April 18th at 9 am PT on IGN YouTube, IGN.com, and IGN 1. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Elden Ring players have discovered a quick and easy way to defeat Starscourge Radahn, one of the game's toughest bosses. The famed Red Lion seemingly shares the fear of most cats as drawing him towards the water in his boss arena causes Radahn to defeat himself. Nintendo has announced a free update for Metroid Dread and has added Boss Rush and other new modes. Players can take on bosses one after another in Boss Rush and, while missiles will be replenished after each battle, any damage taken will continue into the next fight. Square Enix has filed a trademark for Tactics Ogre: Reborn alluding to rumors a two-decade-old fan-loved series is set to return. Ogre Battle is a classic strategy RPG series with its first game in 1993 with Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen for SNES, with the most recent entry being 2010's PSP Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Remedy and Rockstar Games have announced they will be remaking Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. Remedy will work with Rockstar under a new publishing agreement to remake the first two Max Payne games for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Remedy will handle development while Rockstar will finance the project which will be in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production. Epic Games and The LEGO Group have announced a new collaboration in which Epic Games and LEGO will work together to create a child-friendly space within the metaverse. Concrete details about what this "digital experience" will be are not yet available, but Epic promises that it will be family-friendly and provide children with tools that will provide play opportunities in a safe and positive space. Riot Games' free-to-play first person shooter Valorant is coming to mobile based on leaked images of playtests in China. Valorant's mobile port leaked images surfaced on social media showcasing the sleek mobile lobby, agent select screen, a loading screen, and a screenshot from the Ascent Map. Valorant mobile has been a recurring request from fans, so a Valorant mobile is well underway.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Days Gone director Jeff Ross has joined Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics. Ross joins Crystal Dynamics as design director. This was revealed a short time after Crystal Dynamics announced a new Tomb Raider game. Crystal Dynamics nor Ross confirmed which game Ross would be working on. Crystal Dynamics is also co-developing the Perfect Dark reboot with The Initiative and continues to work on Marvel's Avengers. Players can now instantly pick up resources faster in Horizon: Forbidden West. Instant pick-up can be turned on and off in Horizon: Forbidden West pause menu and makes exploration in the Forbidden West a little smoother. The feature appears to have arrived in the latest update but was missing from developer Guerrilla Games' patch notes. Epic Games is being sued by choreographer Kyle Hanagami on copyright claims that Fornite's emote, It's Complicated, is Hanagami's routine for Charlie Puth's song, How Long. Handagami's lawyers claim Epic "did not credit Hanagami nor seek his consent to use, display, reproduce, sell or create derivative work based on the Registered Choreography."

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Crystal Dynamics has announced a new Tomb Raider game and revealed that it will be built using Unreal Engine 5. Announced during the State of Unreal 2022, Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider franchise general manager, Dallas Dickinson promised a "high-quality cinematic action-adventure experience" for the upcoming Tomb Raider game. Dickinson said the team is looking to "push the envelope of fidelity", and is looking to create a Tomb Raider experience fans deserve from Crystal Dynamics. Xbox has officially announced the first wave of games hitting Xbox Game Pass in April 2022, including one we already knew about in advance, MLB: The Show 22. Both MLB and Cricket 22 are available immediately on Xbox cloud and console, while there are a few more games to look forward to across the rest of the month for Xbox Game Pass. Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone aka ConcernedApe revealed the new game Haunted Chocolatier will include boss fights. In a video livestream, Stardew Valley Barone released background music for a "bee boss" fight. Haunted Chocolatier has no official release date, yet, but we can rest assured Eric Barone is working hard on the next title. Haunted Chocolatier is not a sequel to Stardew Valley, but will have NPC relationships like the previous title.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, The world's first Elden Ring no-hit run recorded by YouTube user Seki completed the game in 2 hours and 43 minutes and without taking a single point of damage. Elden Ring fans are constantly finding new ways to play Elden Ring with some having found some pretty bizarre secrets such as a pair of fancy underwear and a hidden wall that only opens after 50 hits. Even the recent patch update has not stifled Elden Ring Speedrun as the fastest time now is 18 minutes and 58 seconds as of March 28th. Return to Monkey Island is a sequel to the legendary point 'n' click series, coming in 2022 from original writer-director Ron Gilbert. Return to Monkey Island brings back original co-writer Dave Grossman, and LucasArts composers Michael Land, Michael McConnell, and Clint Bajakian. Fans of The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge and Escape from Monkey Island are sure to be excited for the sequel coming in 2022.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, In Square Enix's 70th Final Fantasy 14 "Letter From the Producer" livestream that took place on Friday, the developers released a trailer of new content coming to Final Fantasy 14 with Patch 6.1 Newfound Adventure coming on April 12. Final Fantasy Newfound Adventure features a new trial, new alliance raid dungeon, new residential district, and more. The new update to FF14 comes with a new residential district, Empyreum. Updates to graphic fidelity, solo play support, and more are coming to Final Fantasy 14 in this massive update for PC, PS4, and PS5. An Elden Ring fan has discovered that an item used for a boss fight can be used to reveal hidden walls and disable traps in dungeons. Players who have spent hours hitting multiple walls in Elden Ring, or dying horrible from trying to put out fire-breathing traps, will find this item absolutely handy as players traverse the world of Elden Ring. Halo Infinite is set to get content inspired by the Halo TV Series. 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard confirmed the content arriving down the road, hoping to bridge the gap between the Halo TV Series and Halo Infinite. Though both the Halo TV Series and Halo Infinite happen at different times, the plan is to have threads and nods between the two.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, A new mod for Tekken 7 has added Elden Ring fan favorites to the roster, but Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada has mixed feelings about it. Created by Ultraboy, the Elden Ring Modpack replaces several standard Tekken fighters with a variety of Elden Ring characters - including Melina, Ranni, and our favorite Pot Boy, Alexander. A video of the impressive mod has already gone viral, showcasing just how detailed the Elden Ring characters appear in Tekken. Marvel's Avengers has a game-breaking bug on PS5 and the only way to fix it right now is by deleting the campaign progress. The team behind Marvel Avengers will continue to investigate the issue causing a crash for some PS5 players and more news will be provided by tomorrow morning. Blue Box's Abandoned has been rumored to be ironically Abandoned. Tweets from a user report a playable demo was expected to arrive three months ago. This sparked rumors that Abandoned may not have been a real game. Fortunately, Blue Box commented today with a response clarifying the delay and absence of details around Abandoned.

Coming to PlayStation is the bloody online co-op Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS5 & PS4), the delightful SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated (PS4), and the incredibly beautiful Slay the Spire (PS4). PlayStation 5 owners should look to check out Hood Outlaws & Legends as SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated and Slay the Spire are only available on the PlayStation 4. Microsoft March 2022 Xbox Games with Gold are revealed. In the lineup is overwhelmingly positively reviewed Another Sight, the award winning puzzle adventure game Hue, the space station Tycoon-like game Outpost Kaloki X, and the realistic motocross racing game MX vs ATV Alive. Both Another and Outpost Kaloki X will be available on Xbox starting April 1st. Hue and MX Vs ATV Alive will come to Xbox later in the month. Activision Blizzard is looking to do away with one of the several lawsuits over sexual harassment and discrimination levied against it. According to The Washington Post, U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer is "prepared to approve" an $18 million settlement between Activision Blizzard and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This lawsuit is separate from another one from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Sony has finally announced its revision of its PlayStation Plus subscription service, effectively combining PS Plus and PS Now, alongside adding premium tiers that look likely to compete with Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass. With the new PlayStation Plus Premium and PlayStation Plus Extra, subscribers will be able to download or stream hundreds of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games including 340 games from PS3, PS2, PS1 and PSP. Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service will not add first-party exclusive games to PlayStation Plus on the day they release (at least not yet). PlayStation boss Jim Ryan says in the short term brand new games from the likes of Naughty Dog, Insomniac, or Guerrilla would not arrive on the service on day one launch. Currently, Xbox Game Pass offers day one launch access via Xbox Game Pass though SONY PlayStation Jim Ryan says SONY's stance could change very quickly. Amazon has confirmed it will have PS5 Digital stock on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 for Prime members only, and stock will be available from 8AM PT / 11AM ET. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Call of Duty Warzone devs want multiple main maps available at the same time but the biggest issue with adding more maps to Call of Duty Warzone is literally the game itself. Call of Duty Warzone was built within Call of Duty Modern Warfare using the assets intended for 6v6 matches. The most recent Call of Duty Vanguard and Call of Duty Warzone update saw Warzons's largest update since Call of Duty Warzone's launch. An Elden Ring dataminer has found 128 unused icons with detailed artwork hidden in the game files. The files show Elden Ring Bosses and enemies found in The Land Between. One icon shows an Elden Ring Boss blurred out and another filled in. Epic Games is the single biggest corporate donor towards humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Microsoft and Xbox joined Epic Games Store to share all Fortnite proceeds with organizations aiding Ukraine in the Russo-Ukraine war. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Rockstar has announced GTA+, a new subscription service for Grand Theft Auto Online. It will only be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game and will launch on March 29th. Members of the new subscriptions service for GTA 5 online games will receive 500,000 GTA dollars, tons of exclusive GTA Online access, Cash/RP bonuses, and a lot more. GTA V Online players who wish to join will have to sign up via PS Store or Microsoft Store and pay the monthly Grand Theft Auto Online subscription. Polyphony Digital has apologized for Gran Turismo 7 rocky launch by offering players free credits and a 'considerable' fix coming next month. GT7 devs are offering 1 million credits to players with another one million next month. Gran Turismo devs faced backlash for a disastrous launch with Gran Turismo 7 reducing in-game rewards, being unavailable for 24 hours, and pushing players to pay up to $40 for a single car. Gran Turismo 7 devs are looking to amends with fans with numerous fixes coming later next month. The developer of the much-loved Bloodborne PlayStation 1 demake has announced their latest project: Bloodborne Kart. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Fortnite data miners have seemingly found confirmation that the game's limited-time "no build" mode is here to stay. The building was removed from Fortnite Battle Royale earlier this week as its Chapter 3 Season 2 began, but new leaks suggest that the developer of Fortnite plans to include it later as a separate Fortnite game mode. Fortnite Chapter 3 is looking to be a turning point for the franchise so be sure to check it out! A new Sea of Thieves update is out introducing a new ever-evolving story adventure called Forts of the Forgotten. Xbox released Sea of Thieves gameplay details and a story trailer revolving around the new Sea of Thieves adventures! Expect tons of Sea of Thieves funny moments from the new adventures as players journey to rescue residents of Golden Sands Outpost held captive by Phantom hordes on the newly manifested Sea Forts.
