On today's IGN The Fix: Games, A Take-Two earnings report reveals the publisher plans for at least eight more remasters or ports - plus some details about games coming in 2023 and beyond. Take-Two, who owns 2K Games, Rockstar, and Firaxis, among others, announced that between now and 2025, plans to release 24 immersive core games. GTA 5 will look to finally get a mobile port while remasters or ports of previous games are on the horizon. Today's 505 Games Spring 2022 Showcased Among the Trolls, Stray Blade, Miasma Chronicles, and Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. Among the Trolls is a supernatural first-person survival game set among Finland's deep forests. Stray Blade is a soul that pairs an anthropologist with a spellcasting wolf gremlin. The showcase's final game was a teaser for Miasma Chronicles, a brief trailer featuring a boy, his robot, and what seems like an extra-dimensional force. The Red Dead Online community has been begging developer Rockstar for more significant updates to the game on par with what Grand Theft Auto Online has been getting, using the hashtag #SaveRedDeadOnline.

A version of Ubisoft + will be available as part of the new PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription tiers coming in June. Ubisoft announced that the full version of Ubisoft + includes more than 100 games, day one releases, and premium editions of some games coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles at a later date. Cyberpunk 2077 gets the Unreal Engine 5 treatment and it's a version of Night City we should have seen. Epic Games is releasing an "open to everybody" Unreal Engine 5 editor for Fortnite and will let creators monetize what they make. Nintendo will be careful when releasing a successor to the Switch. President Shuntaro Furukawa has made it clear that the company aims not to repeat the same mistakes as it did when moving from Wii to Wii U, and DS to 3DS.

Announced by Bethesda on Twitter, Starfield and Redfall have been delayed to "the first half of 2023". The statement also promises that the first gameplay deep dives for both Starfield and Redfall will be released "soon". Elden Ring's mightiest hero, Let Me, Solo, Her has now defeated Malenia, Blade of Miquella 1,000 times - and shared his glory with fans by live streaming the milestone on YouTube. A former Respawn Entertainment developer has claimed that requests from team members to make the protagonist of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order female and/or Black were shut down. Alongside Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Apex Legends, Respawn is also known for the Titanfall franchise and is currently working on three new Star Wars games, including a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order.

Gotham Knights come from Batman: Arkham Origins developer WB Montreal, and allows players to take on the roles of Red Hood, Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl in a version of Gotham where Batman has seemingly been killed. EA has announced that the FIFA series will officially change its name to EA Sports FC after this year's FIFA 23, ending what will be an almost three-decade partnership with football's governing body. EA Sports said the name change would take place after the next FIFA game, with more information coming about the first EA Sports FC in July 2023. The BioWare store listed and quickly deleted a product description that implies the original Mass Effect protagonist is returning in the next game. It's unclear whether the original text was an inadvertent slip of information on the BioWare store or a simple mistake on the part of someone outside of the development team. Resident Evil Re: Verse may still be on track for release in 2022, despite developer Capcom going completely silent on it following a series of delays. Originally meant to arrive alongside Resident Evil Village, Capcom has yet to confirm a release window for Resident Evil Re: Verse but this new update to Re: Verse signifies a finished game. The FTC was similarly investigating the planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft to determine whether it would harm consumers, partners, or competitors. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has officially been inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame alongside Ms. Pac-Man, Dance Dance Revolution, and Sid Meier's Civilization. These games join 32 others that have been inducted since the World Video Game Hall of Fame began at New York's The Strong National Museum of Play in 2015. A 24k Golden Wii is being auctioned off by a Dutch console collector. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Epic Games and Microsoft are partnering to bring Fortnite to Xbox Cloud Gaming. Fortnite is now available to play on PC and even iOS and iPad devices through Xbox Cloud Gaming. The first game from District 9 director Neill Blomkamp is Off The Grid, a cyberpunk-style third-person Battle Royale, coming next year. Off The Grid pits 150 players against each other, with PvE story missions also taking place on the map in real-time having player actions affecting the story and other players' gameplay. Developers, including Totally Accurate Battle Simulator's Landfall, Bearwaves, Godolphin Games, Cloudy Games LLC, and Brainless Labs have begun signing an environment-focused anti-NFT pledge.
